I hope Russia nukes DC, Chicago, and San Francisco.

Yeah, it's just wishful thinking.

The only way I would say this is a great thing is if the US immediately pulled out right after and Europe was stuck fighting its own war they begged for. Sadly politicians and the MIC will be all too happy to kill more Americans in the name of “freedom” while Zelenskyy buys a few more mansions across the globe.

The US wanted the war and lead the charge in poking at Russia.

There won't be any Ukraine left to join NATO then, they leave Russia no other choice

Ukraine's future lies in being a corporate fiefdom owned by giant investment funds, keeping just enough population to extract the immense wealth of natural resources and ship them West for pennies on the dollar, with no chance of things ever improving because no Ukrainian will own anything in the country so they will have no way of building their own wealth. If you think Ukraine was fucked before last year, just watch - and you really should, because that's your future as well.

Right hawks like me advocate for the US dramatically reducing our presence in Europe. We have 100k troops there now. We ought to cut that down to 20k or so. Time for the US to stop subsidizing EU security over $30 billion per year. Let them carry their weight for a change.

Then take all that savings & shift it to the 1st island chain to help defend Taiwan.

Europe isn't where the future of humanity will be decided. It's the old world. Asia is the axis on which human civilization will turn for the next century. China is a massive and rapidly rising threat there.

But the liberal media only cares about Europe because that's where all their friends in the liberal elite are. There aren't really liberal elites in asia. Liberal white people, for all their jogger worship, actually just see asians as too alien & don't really care about them.

The US doesn't do this out of charity. It does this so it can control Europe. There is nothing charitable about the GAE.

Shitlibs are also fully on board with fighting to the last Taiwanese to make line go up "defending Taiwan's freedom and democracy."

I'd advise caution on that, It'd be better the US provided more arms (some ordered by Taiwan but redirected to Ukraine) because there are idiots in the pentagon that think an offensive war into China can be won.

Providing aircraft, armour, anti AA and missiles that can be used against naval and amphibious landing craft would be the best call. The military leadership in the US has been getting worse as they let slip where the aircraft carrier in that region is located which is one of the key things China needs to destroy in order to attack Taiwan so better Taiwan has the best weapons available that it can afflict massive causalities on any invasion attempt.

Nuclear weapons kept the peace for 50 years, and they can do so again. The best way to deter a Chinese of invasion of Taiwan is to give Taiwan nuclear weapons and walk away. China is not going to invade that island if it means Beijing gets incinerated.

Only one problem with that, NO ONE is giving nukes, they have to be in-house made and Taiwan lacks the facilities and resources required to make one.

They could just do what the UK does and give Taiwan a bunch of subs with nukes

Actually subs in general would be great, nothing stops an amphibious invasion like suddenly being hit by torpedoes.

We ought to cut that down to 20k or so.

Even more than that, keep them in the countries that actually like us (IE: Poland, Italy, Czech Republic, Baltic States, etc). Why should we be helping countries like Germany and France who hate our guts and keep trying to stab us in the back.

Asia is the axis on which human civilization will turn for the next century.

Even with everything happening here, I still think it is going to be the American century when all is said and done. But the future of America is absolutely in Asia, not Europe.

We don't have bases in France because the French don't want us there & know they're safe hiding behind Germany, but I agree we should make the bulk of the cuts to Germany & only keep a presence there at all if we need it for logistics.

But the future of America is absolutely in Asia, not Europe.

I agree. And when I say "Asia is the axis on which human civilization will turn for the next century." I don't mean the US won't still be the leader, but we ought to focus on leading Asia, not Europe.

The US does not pay the EU money in cash.

The $30b is the effective subsidy based on the money we pay to keep the forces there.

As to "liberating Europe". No thank you. The US already has a bunch of libtards. We don't need to conquer more.

How much was Turkey paid to agree to this as aren't they ironically the most sane out of NATO.

This is looking like another China in that there are idiots in the Pentagon that think a war WITHIN China is winnable forgetting that China is military built up more defensively, it's sort of the same issue with Russia. They aren't doing the best as an aggressor (but according to those leaks it isn't catastrophic like the news likes to say) but if they where invaded it would drain NATO to depletion.

Not to mention isn't this ignoring all the rules they set out for NATO membership where you weren't supposed to be in any wars for a number of years?

Yup. No question of it happening now. This has been obvious from the beginning.

NATO doesn't fear Russia & is going to make all Russia's supposed fears of things that never would have happened but for its invasion, come true. Very likely Georgia comes into NATO as well.
