Who?

He played an ewok in Return of the Jedi and a goblin in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. In Labyrinth, he played a member of the Goblin Corps and was a stunt double for Hoggle. Grant also appeared in Legend and Willow.

So he's a dwarf who died at 56.

Yeah, I caught that too. He played a background character in both movies. I'm sorry he passed away, but this seems like the news trying to make him seem like a more famous actor than he was.

Warwick Davis is 53, if he dies in 3 years time the reaction will be similar; "he's a dwarf", but because of the name recognition that connection will be made far sooner.

Same deal with Peter Dinklage who is also 53, but both are far more widely known than someone with acting credits of "Goblin (uncredited)", "Ewok", or even "stunt double: Hoggie".

Meh, some people are always dressed up in a costume that blocks most of their body.

Ron Perlman used to be the dictionary example of that. He seemed to be in a lot of things before he was in anything that didn't involve heavy makeup to his face (I'm thinking as far back as the Beauty and the Beast series).

Excuse you shitlord, the correct term is "nearground character".

Evening Standard (which I believe is a tabloid):

Star Wars and Harry Potter actor Paul Grant has died at the age of 56 after a lengthy battle with drug and alcohol addiction.

Drug abuse, "Safe and Effective," or dwarf in his 50s. I think, somehow, with all three of these options, the vax may actually be the LEAST suspect cause.

Let's play 'Life [Insurance]: The Game!"

First up, we have an adult male: So life expectancy is about 75, and that's being quite generous.

Second, dwarfism: knock another 10 years off that, still being quite generous.

Add drugs and alcohol and that's likely another 10 years.

Look at that, 55.

So as sad as this will be it isn't likely anything other than "Person with known health issues dies younger than most. Because of the health issues."

Men who make it to their 50s probably have a life expectancy more than 75. But I'm with you. 75 includes like everyone who dies as a child, I think.

56 for a dwarf is like 66 for a normal person. When was the last time you saw a dwarf over 80?

One of my best friends (known him since I was 11) has it, and he spent the entirety of his teens half crippled and in and out of hospital having surgeries to unfuck his bones.

He's mostly ok now, though he still walks kind of unevenly and he gets tired easily. It's depressing to think that he'll probably be dead before we hit retirement age, but what can you do?

At least dwarves get a life with the ADA and government to assist them. It's probably better for them than it's ever been. At least in America we are not trying to slaughter them for their gold. We haven't truly beat nature yet.

If a 66 year old collapsed at a train station I'd ask if he was vaxxed, this shit's no joke

Damn, collapsing at a train station is not a good way to go especially one as busy as that one, depending in if it was rush hour, it would have stopped any real help getting through.
