Since 2016 it's been 'RUSSIA, RUSSIA RUSSIA!' as much as 'TRUMP, TRUMP, TRUMP!'

It took less than a month for me to naturally assume that whenever I heard this, it was a self admission that the party claiming this fucked up unless there was hard evidence to prove otherwise.

Bill Kristol supported Trump until it turned out that he did not have as much inveterate hatred of Russia as Kristol demanded. I'm not sure which tail is wagging which dog.

But the neocon’s pathological hatred of Russia is definitely not about ethnic vengeance.

Is that the working theory around here? To me it seems pretty apparent that its because Russia doesn't play ball with their globohomo bullshit. Now, that might be in order to create the only somewhat better reality of a dipolar world with two "semi-globohomo" systems, but it is still enough to enrage the elites of the west who want total control and total dominance.

Also not to be underestimated is the whole military industrial complex factor. So many neocons and neolibs benefit from war in general.

It makes little sense, but then again, little of the Stormfag claims do.

The accounts, which parroted Kremlin talking points on myriad topics, claimed without evidence that authorities in Ohio were lying about the true impact of the chemical spill. ...

Some of the claims pushed by the pro-Russian accounts were verifiably false, such as the suggestion that the news media had covered up the disaster ...

Regularly spewing anti-US propaganda, the accounts show how easily authoritarian states and Americans willing to spread their propaganda can exploitsocial mediaplatforms like Twitter in an effort to steer domestic discourse.

The accounts were identified by Reset, a London-based nonprofit that studies social media’s impact on democracy, and shared with The Associated Press. Felix Kartte, a senior advisor at Reset, said the report’s findings indicate Twitter is allowing Russia to use its platform like a bullhorn.

“With no one at home in Twitter’s product safety department, Russia will continue to meddle in US elections and in democracies around the world,” Kartte said.

Who is Felix Kartte?

Previously, Felix was with the European External Action Service, Europe’s diplomatic arm, where he helped shape the EU’s strategic response to disinformation and malign digital interference. He also spent a number of years with the European Commission after starting his career as a researcher and journalist.

And the organization?

Luminate and The Sandler Foundation are our founding funders. Additional funding is provided by Fidelity Charitable.

Literally funded by the crooks at Fidelity. Luminate was founded by Pierre Omidyar, a scumbag billionaire.

Sandler Foundation is a charitable foundation formed in 1991 with support from Herbert Sandler and Marion Sandler, co-CEOs of Golden West Financial Corporation and World Savings Bank

And:

Our programmatic work is overseen by a Steering Committee with equal representation from The Sandler Foundation and Luminate.

Obviously:

Reset is committed to Luminate’s Diversity, Anti-Harassment, Whistleblowing and Conflict of Interest policies. See also the Reset Data & Privacy Policy.

The propagandists at AP blindly echo the propaganda of this organization, while merely describing it as "a London-based nonprofit that studies social media’s impact on democracy".

Why must propaganda always be "spewed" to these morons?

The only reason the Democrats hate Russia is because they blamed Putin for "stealing" the election for Trump in 2016 as a cope.

Hilarious how Putin's half assed attempt to manipulate US politics ended up being the primary cause the US gave tens of billions to help Ukraine kick his ass in 2022.

Hell, if Russia had supported Hillary instead of Trump, maybe Biden would have stayed neutral and he would have won his war.

Democrats hate Russia because it is white and Christian. We know this because democrats accuse conservatives of defending Russia because it is white and Christian.

Not really so, in fact if you look at the Obama administration under McFaul they actually loved Russia. Honestly all of this can be traced back to the huckster McFaul's totally failed "Russian Reset". Even the videos of him pushing the big goofy reset button have been mysteriously scrubbed from youtube. Most all our current issues with Russia can be traced back to this so-called "expert" who totally trashed the relative calm we'd had in the preceding decade.

And how can we forget the Obama quip to Romney "The 1980's called, they want their foreign policy back"? The repubs could just play that on repeat, but they don't.

I read that they mistranslated Reset into something completely wrong in Russian.

That said, the issue was the Maidan coup.

McFaul can't even speak Russian well despite supposedly being a professor.

I think the US has about as much to do with Maidan as Russia did in our election: which is to say not much. I'm frankly amazed at the duality view of folks here: the government is incompetent but somehow organized a coup with info warfare. My experience with the government is they couldn't organize a coup out of a wet paper bag.

The only reason the Democrats hate Russia is because they blamed Putin for "stealing" the election for Trump in 2016 as a cope.

Likely. But the neocons made good use of that.

Hilarious how Putin's half assed attempt to manipulate US politics ended up being the primary cause the US gave tens of billions to help Ukraine kick his ass in 2022.

It did a good deal more damage to your country (at your own hands) than it ever will to Russia.

I don't even want your country to be damaged. I see a lot of good Americans who are fine people. But when there's a rabid dog biting everyone, it has to go. When I see America destroying my country, far more than it is destroying its supposed enemies like Russia and China, I can only cheer for its weakening.

Hell, if Russia had supported Hillary instead of Trump, maybe Biden would have stayed neutral and he would have won his war.

You think the tail wags the dog.

"MUH RUSSHER STOLE THE ELECTION" is the narrative for the dumb people, just like "UKRAINE IS A DEMOCRACY!" The real reason is geopolitics. You know this full well, because you and your puppets in the EU are supporting the genocidal regime in Azerbaijan.

I'm happy with this outcome, btw. A quick victory would not have damaged the corrupt Empire as much as the past year. To name a few: the bankruptcy of sanctions, the coming end of dollar dominance.

The real reason is geopolitics.

I was going to say, Hilldawg was talking about declaring Syria a no-fly zone during the campaign. They accused Trump of being a Russian puppet because he wasn't supporting their warmongering hard enough.

I agree. Every single move toward totalitarianism by the DP has been motivated by their loss in 2016, just like the conversion of corporate journalism to pro-regime serial liars was motivated by their clownish imbecility leading up to their apparently fatal loss of face.

A rogue, uncontrollable bull like Trump will not be groomed, and as crazy as he is, Trump's real purpose, whether he's aware of it or not, is to destroy the bureaucratic status quo and keep the deep state in focus, in the light.

I can't imagine the lengths the regime would go to if he's elected again next year.

if Russia had supported Hillary instead of Trump,

You stupid fuck. Hillary and Putin are part of the same social circle! Donald was just a fucking donor to her, useful for a minute to help her get her political ambitions until he became a hindrance under Obama during the birther shit.
