I hate this phrase, because THEY use it all the time in promoting shitty entertainment that blatantly insults what could have been a substantial audience.
The reasoning is valid for them because they view their consumption of media through the lens of political activism. If it pisses off a conservative, that’s good enough for a leftist.
It is valid reasoning for me because I know they only attack one type of media: problematic content that possesses enough merit to threaten penetration into the mainstream. That is precisely the content I’m looking for.
Based beautiful woman with normal hair at the helm? And she was smart enough to hire exclusively soy-free white dudes to make her game? Stop giving me more reasons to buy the game, Imp.
Simple woman hating is not a sane position. Are you gay? Have you ever interacted with a woman? Do you understand that nobody is going to take you seriously if your position boils down to: "Woman are bad and anything a woman is majorly involved in is bad."
The only bad thing I've heard so far about the game is that it tries TOO much at the same time so is a little unfocused. That and apparently the ending is less than can be desired.
Which compared to my fears of being the next Cyberpunk release isn't bad at all.
I've heard - and seen firsthand on streams - a ton of bad shit about the game, but none of it is related to Muh Russians or sexy robots. It has some very poor design decisions and pacing, and then a lot of things I am just personally not a fan of. It's even got a little of that Slav Jank, but not in terms of graphics, optimization, or bugs, so no need to worry about a Cyberpunk-repeat. If you aren't sure then just wait until it's cheap.
It's a goofy 80s Action Movie done Slav style. Sexy Robots and a Dommie Mommie Fridge. Overall Combat is fun and I can get on board the "spongy" enemy design as it starts. You are shooting things made of metal.
So I played 2 hours - It's got the narrative push of Half Life coupled with a Bioshock meets Fallout Aesthetic. The scanner was nifty. Haven't unlocked many weapons yet. Plays Ok and just nie to see something not fawning over woke virtue signalling. So for that it gets an 8/10
Atomic Heart is a first-person shooter that takes place in an alternate reality Soviet Union, where technology has advanced in bizarre and terrifying ways. The game draws inspiration from classic titles like Half Life, Bioshock and Fallout, but adds its own unique twist to the genre.
The game’s graphics are stunning, with detailed environments that range from idyllic countryside to nightmarish laboratories. The game also features a dynamic weather system and day-night cycle that affect the gameplay and atmosphere. The narrative is intriguing, with a mysterious plot that unfolds through audio logs, documents and interactions with NPCs. The game also has a dark sense of humor that contrasts with the horror elements.
The game’s combat is challenging and satisfying, with a variety of enemies that require different strategies to defeat. The player can use guns, melee weapons and gadgets to fight their way through hordes of mechanical, biomechanical and biological foes. Some enemies are airborne, which adds another layer of difficulty. The game also has a crafting system that allows the player to create new weapons and items from scavenged materials.
Atomic Heart is not a political statement or propaganda piece, but rather an artistic exploration of an alternative timeline where history took a different turn. The game does not endorse or condemn any ideology or regime, but rather presents a surreal vision of what could have been.
Atomic Heart is one of the most original and creative games of 2023, and deserves praise for its ambition and execution. It may have some flaws and bugs, but they do not detract from the overall experience. I would give it an 87% rating for its gameplay, graphics and story.
Anyways, this game is becoming impossible not to buy. It is pissing off all the right people.

Stop funding women you simp.
You're the one who bought it as per your own admission.
Yet again blindly consooming product.
Do you look up who runs the companies you buy from before you buy?
Usually you can tell a woman is involved with something. There's that air of hatred in it.
A woman was involved in birthing you. Heir of hatred checks out.
Don't be ridiculous. I meant in the creation of entertainment.
From the guy that gives Microsoft money. The nerve
Yeah, you're the one to take advice from. Ha.

You should have picked u/notawomaniswear, you clown.
What if I am a woman? I'm not trying to hide it lol.
My God, they're so full of shit.
I want to play this game, but all the articles against it read like someone paid for the bad publicity.

You clearly haven't been paying attention to the PC release, in that case.
I got it for "free", on GamePass, installed last night, having a session tonight. Will report back.

I love it when these people get upset

Now where's my fucking FoV slider.
OK Here is my review...
