75% black students and not one of them even bothered to apply. Yet they somehow deserve it more than her. Sounds about right: no contribution, all entitlement.

"Royal court" and similar stuff is a HUGE fucking deal at HBCUs. There's one near me and the campus is just plastered with royal court stuff at times of the year.
Also, one time I was on an HBCU campus for work. I sat down on a bench with my laptop to check email. A girl comes running up to me and says "Hun, you gotta get out of here, you're sitting on XYZ's bench, those guys are gonna fuck you up." She points across the campus and she wasn't joking--4-5 guys are headed my way looking pissed as fuck.
Needless to say, I got the heck out of there!

Yeah it’s like high school, a thing done at homecoming and everyone not involved forgets about it immediately after. I have no clue who was elected to homecoming queen or king in any of my years of high school or college and I didn’t remember their name or picture 2 minutes after they announced who won. Not to put down those who won, but no one really cared. (I did not attend a hbcu though)

One HBCU even had a white starting quarterback a few years ago.
I can't remember the school, but it happened. Apparently he was even pretty good.
I remember hearing about that. I do know Grambling had one in the 70s I think
