"Royal court" and similar stuff is a HUGE fucking deal at HBCUs. There's one near me and the campus is just plastered with royal court stuff at times of the year.
Also, one time I was on an HBCU campus for work. I sat down on a bench with my laptop to check email. A girl comes running up to me and says "Hun, you gotta get out of here, you're sitting on XYZ's bench, those guys are gonna fuck you up." She points across the campus and she wasn't joking--4-5 guys are headed my way looking pissed as fuck.
Needless to say, I got the heck out of there!
