The study found suspects released on zero-dollar bail were far more likely to be rearrested, nearly twice as likely to be rearrested for new felonies, and nearly three times as likely to be rearrested for violent crimes.

Trust the science.

It's as if having no consequences for your actions isn't an effective deterrent.

Hmmm. Welp, I guess we'll need more studies then.

Zero-dollar bail: It's a controversial topic. Last year, a local study from the Yolo County DA's office found 70% of suspects released on zero-dollar bail, reoffended. But were they more likely to re-offend? An updated study indicates the answer may be, yes.

Don't trust your lying eyes, goyim. You can't just look at the aggregate data, you need to have a acredited scientist present a sample of the total data and "interpret" it for you.

Hmmm, this sounds like an inequity problem caused by the white supremacist patriarchy. I know how to fix the problem. We need to pay criminals to leave the jail. Clearly, the reason they're reoffending is that they're too poor so if they get arrested we should give them $50,000 when we let them out of prison. Think of it like reverse-bail to help us reverse racism.

That doesn't change anything. Criminalism already supports the criminals.

The left made literally no complaint about the amount of gang-shootings taking place at every 'autonomous zone', and sometimes just randomly blamed Proud Boys. In fact, in spite of massive crime rates, Democrats basically don't even see crime as a major issue. Abortion is way more important of an issue than crime to them. Even while being shot, I think many of them would say, "at least I'll die in a place where a woman can leave babies to die on a table... "

You are right. I guess I get tired of these people who defend and excuse these criminals but don’t have to live with the consequences of their lax policies. And constant gang violence clearly doesn’t bother them.

There's an undercurrent of people who are upset with violence, but those conservative minded people leave rather than revolt. The people who remain don't even notice that the situation is as bad as it its. You can still walk around New York and see tons of blue haired people that don't think there's a crime problem, despite being victims of it.

It's an abuse mentality, it's a slave mentality. That's what scared me so much about the riots in 2020. I thought that would make the Left revolt against what was being done to it, instead it culled the independents into submission. Every place that had a riot voted more left-wing than in 2016. The right fled, and the center submitted. It showed that political violence on the left, to the left, works. And it tells them who's on the 'right side of history'.

The whole point of arresting these guys for petty crimes is to keep them from progressing up to serious ones.

No, the whole point is anarcho-tyranny.

Where I live it is like a constant race between black people and beat cops to see who can make me shit my pants the hardest when spotted behind me. We are all boiling in a pot while we cry and moan.

I'm a believer of releasing on own recognizance with exception to the obvious.

It should work in a manner where your word is your bond, you break your bond your word will no longer be enough to bail your ass out in the future.

NOT, $0 bail no matter how many times you go gta while having pending court dates. Fucking liberal idiots.

Interesting to see some good reporting coming out of the area, which is encouraging. The county is mostly rural and farming based, however also contains the very liberal University at Davis.

Reading between the lines on this article is interesting, as the statistician referenced is even from the county, but further into east Sacramento area that has voted consistently conservative. I suspect the choice was not accidental.
