The dichotomy of the censor, whether it's a Vatican censor looking for dirty books in the 1500s, or the Hayes Code guys or modern ratings dudes and the woke police, "How do you know there's a problem with it if you've never seen it?", which is pretty much the argument that can be used against something that is truly banned, like Song of the South.

The removal of the Hays Code allowed a torrent of subversive films fueling transvaluation which has brought us Cuties, and it will only get worse unless something similar is restored.

People will always make this stuff, even with a phone in their garage; what matters is who watches it.

This is a matter of personal discipline. No one needs to watch movies, we especially don't need to watch new movies constantly, and we should never be watching movies that subvert the values that build and maintain our society.

Until we, as individuals and a people, reject constantly being fed entertaining lies, someone will continue to feed them to us.

This assumes the masses have far more agency than they do. There was a deliberate and concerted effort to convert people from prioritizing family and production to atomized hedonistic consumers. Rejecting the current situation as a people would look very similar to a Hays code for all media.

Okay so make it harder for them. Why enable the fuckery

What was so much better about Hays vs. the MPAA? I remember hearing they had a lot of creative ways to get around it.

Hays had much more rigid standards explicitly laid out, such as an outright ban on all sexual content, and didn't allow much leniency even for content intended for adults. The MPAA rating system is rather arbitrary and allows almost anything for adult content, which inevitably enables the line of what is adult only material to move towards kids. While the Hays code would almost certainly have been subverted as well, it would have taken much longer and been more difficult.

Muslims do have a better grasp of morality than progressives.

Their food is better too. Vegan food is kinda boring.

Vegan food is functionally poison designed to keep a populace weak and pacified. The Muslim diet is meant to sustain hardened warriors.

Mulims are more aware of tricks used by another Abrahamic religion.

In the country that had the Hays Code we got the Apollo Program, in the successor state that didn't have it we can barely build rockets at all.

The sense of superiority of the leftist elites still surprises me. How do they rationalize their arrogance with thinking they are good people?

Their social status and employment depends on it.

As with Rings of Power and She-Hulk. People are watching Critique coverage over actually seeing it themselves.

Hell people fucking skipped Andor after getting Burned on Boba Fett and Obi-Wan.

Star Wars? Were people not burned by The Last Jedi or The Force Awakens? You might be right on the other point though. I for one only know (of) newer movies through RLM, EFAP, Critical Drinker, and other "reviewers". If just 1 other person is the same then that is a net loss of viewers for the original things. That translates as a win to "this side" of the culture war.

Never got this phenomenon, why watch something you hate? I've got better things to do.

Precisely.

Time is a precious commodity that you can't trade anything for; why waste it on something you hate?

They just dropped a trailer for their "prequel" (reboot) nonsense and the writer here talks about the fandom reaction.

He has a point. Some things are intentionally bad. "You are not immune to propaganda" rings true in that regard.
