Isn't it funny that the same people who cry "my culture isn't a costume!!!" also have a mental breakdown if someone dare put on something like an Imperial Japanese costume or a Nazi uniform in jest?

There's no chance then they are going to bring back Devil Summoner game without fucking it up first. The disappointment in modern Atlus is immeasurable.

Atlus had a hand in bringing my favorite game of the GBA era (Tactics Ogre: Knight of Lodis) to the States. I credit that game with my long-running interest in the sadly under-developed genre of turn-based strategy.

Its success may have even contributed to ports for Fire Emblem and Final Fantasy Tactics Advance (my timeline's a little fuzzy, but I think TO:KOL was released before FFTA or the first US FE release).

All Atlus had to do was keep publishing good games, but I haven't seen their name on anything worthwhile in a decade or more.

Let it die.

Have you checked out Symphony of War on Steam yet? It's a pretty fun cross of Fire Emblem and Tactics Ogre.

Actually playing it right now. It's the first game to really tackle the "why can't I hold all these limes units?" problem, with the steadily-increasing number of units you can field (and need).

I'm not entirely sold on the writing/story - they can't seem to tell if they're deadly serious or a certified thief™.

The IJA did nothing wrong.

We should have let them dismember China. That would have preemptively solved a lot of problems.

Japan was out-china'ing modern China at the time. With China's resources, we would have an endless series of hot wars against Japan until they either stretched too thin and collapsed under their own weight, or the Emperor finally gets a grip. The way the pacific theater ended in this timeline is much more preferable.

Perhaps, but it should be noted that If it werent for the commie FDR purposely goading them , we wouldnt have been in hot wars against Japan in the first place. https://postimg.cc/6ygrCHdr And it was never for humanitarian reasons that America fought Japan. Since ww2, America has been invading Middle Eastern countries for the Rothschilds.

They were more brutal than the Nazis in their conquest, with less defined goals. IJA needed to be put down.

You believe the atrocity propaganda from commies?

They dissected American POW's alive, for fun.

We don't need to listen to the commies to see how what a bunch of war crime loving savages they were.

Regardless of whether that's true or not, America never fought Japan for humanitarian reasons as i said above. You can tell by what they did afterwards (removing the anti commie laws that Japan had and releasing all the commie prisoners) and then invading the Middle East , and keeping the Middle East in a state of perpetual war for decades on end probably with a ton of atrocities happening that you will never hear about

And? Doesn't change the fact that imperial japan was a nation of medievalists.

Being a nation of medivalists is better than being a nation controlled by globalist communists and Rothschild bankers. Japan was one of the few countries that rejected the League of Nations which was the equivalent of the United Nations at the time. Were they ruthless? Maybe so, but the reasons America fought against Japan was for the globalist bankers who were losing control in that part of the world it was never about humanitarianism, that was proven by how America has been invading countries in the Middle East for the Rothschilds ever since. Keeping some in the state of perpetual war for decades on end. Where is the care for humanitarianism in that?

I'm not telling you to like imperial Japan I'm only saying the situation wasn't black and white.

They were a bunch of medieval monsters who just happened with modern technology.

Should have left them alone, but no - the globalists wanted to make an example of any country who refused to open their borders. Those medieval monsters, like it or not - are the direct end-result of US foreign policy.

The Japs were mass-murdering eachother long before the Meiji restoration. The US is not responsible for their tendancy toward utter ruthlessness in war. It was ingrained in the culture long, long before any of them ever encountered a Caucasian face.

Lol I'm a weeb and I would agree that they were savages during the war. Just because I like their uniforms doesn't mean I don't think they should have been stopped with extreme prejudice. But if their bloodlust could have been kept under control, I think their civil management of conquered territories was just fine. Especially the little shithole island nations would have ended up much better as part of the Coprosperity Sphere. (I'm treating comfort women as an act of war. It's not something that would have continued.)
