whenever it feels like every single move the globalists make is planned and calculated sabotage, remember: sometimes, like in this case, it's just extreme incompetence.

I've seen an article about it but it did not mention how much coal are they buying.

Is not even funny as much as it highlights something those on the right have been saying for a long time, all the leftists "causes" no longer matter when you are about to freeze to death or starve.

I’m all for using energy sources that work but deliberately sacrificing fossil fuels because you have been brainwashed by the cult of climate change is insane. If we were smart we would be doing more nuclear as well. Also by all means use solar and wind power but stop the climate change zealotry

If you can prove that the solar cells and windmills actually have a positive energy return (as in the amount of energy they produce in their lifetimes subtracted by the energy cost to produce them), then they can be a possible source of energy. However, they will never be dependable because they can't be since the sun doesn't always shine and the wind doesn't always blow.

That is why we used oil, coal, natural gas, and nuclear power plants supplemented by hydroelectric power. All of these sources of power are constant with hydroelectric varying a bit with the waterflows.

Don't give them our tax dollars. If a private company thinks they can make green energy profitable, have at it.

I agree. Wind and solar isn’t as efficient but they keep wanting to get rid of fossil fuels at the expense of people’s jobs. I also wish the hysteria over nuclear power would end because we could do so much with it

So like every year for the last 20+ years?

I guess the demand increased, the tweet or articles I could find do not mention it is a new thing but that it was increasing and that some coal powerplants had to be reopened.

It puts green energy in to a perspective that most upper class leftists want to ignore. When you have to choice between virtue signaling and freezing no one cares about empty virtue.

If only someone had warned Europe about being too reliant on Russia. If only...

Reminder that Germany has a bunch of natural gas and coal that can be sourced in Germany.
