If you can prove that the solar cells and windmills actually have a positive energy return (as in the amount of energy they produce in their lifetimes subtracted by the energy cost to produce them), then they can be a possible source of energy. However, they will never be dependable because they can't be since the sun doesn't always shine and the wind doesn't always blow.
That is why we used oil, coal, natural gas, and nuclear power plants supplemented by hydroelectric power. All of these sources of power are constant with hydroelectric varying a bit with the waterflows.
Don't give them our tax dollars. If a private company thinks they can make green energy profitable, have at it.
I agree. Wind and solar isn’t as efficient but they keep wanting to get rid of fossil fuels at the expense of people’s jobs. I also wish the hysteria over nuclear power would end because we could do so much with it
