So I checked into CTV National News, our largest "private" broadcaster & #1 nightly news show. They covered his singing 100% positive, didn't even hint that anyone didn't love it.

Incidentally, does anyone have the video where some suck-up journalist tried to weasel "Darkness Enhancing Makeup" to the point that even Trudeau himself has to go 'it was blackface'? It was floating around right after the incident but I can't seem to track it down.
