TBF, if you wanted to replace Robin there's very few people who even stood a chance. I don't think that was based on race swapping but "who the fuck could even try to replace Robin"
I mean...nobody stood any chance, that was the Kobayashi Maru of casting, but Will was about the best choice you could make.
That is exactly why they should not have made a remake. You cannot replace him that easily. In general if you got nothing to improve upon the original why even bother with a remake? I can think of a tiny number of movies that benefited from a remake like the Thing.
Nostalgia bait just pisses off more and more people, the Disney remake is even infamous now. Hopefully people will stop falling for that shit but I doubt it, most are still sheep.

That's why...MONEY.
I've haven't seen any of these live action remakes but there are a few that seemed to have the potential to be good- Mulan is probably the one that makes the most sense but they had to praise the genociders of the Uyghurs. Dumbo could have been ok as the original is very old but remaking 90s animated movies just seems off.
And frankly Robin was irreplaceable and there's nobody alive I can think of who could try and not be dissed into oblivion.
There is something that puts me off about this guy but some of his stuff is good.
What is a woman did a great deal of harm to the gender confusing movement. It was such a simple way to show how ridiculous it is.
My favorite is him saying he is a best selling LGBTQ+ children author.
Add in biolumincescent communication, and, yeah, that'd be a super cool version of Little Mermaid/Man from Atlantis or something. A kind of ocean-based Primal.
When Robin Williams got replaced with Cuck Smith, that was the end of the line.
All of this, is just shit swirling in a storm drain.

Second animated film wasn't that bad, I mean, apart from the story... Williams only voiced Genie in the first and third ones.
I've reached the point where I actively hate remakes, especially of things I love.

He's like a robot, quite emotionless.
That he looks like a pedo at the library?
I love how he never gets animated but the media is accusing him of freaking out.
That was my first impression but the guy is ok, just looks off
REEEEEEE... you were trying to use a slur! I just know it! I bet you made the OK-sign while writing it!
Don't be riddikerous.
Eenie, meenie, miney, moe...
I know it's a joke (like all of mainstream media) but part of me wants to see a horror version of my little mermaid with these changes
It'd still have more character than this adaptation.
I mean there’s the shape of water which is basically gender swapped little mermaid with all the wtf in it

I kind of miss Jacques Cousteau.
Imagine her as an angler fish, female angler fish are fucking scary.
If you think about it, a mermaid is just a culturally appropriated dugong. Therefore, Ariel should be played by a sea cow.
Owait ...
Stop being racist, they prefer tigris-american, 'tigger' is their word
