I was listening to audio of some White House press conferences about the AIDS epidemic from the 1980s . It was kind of a culture shock hearing how people were still allowed to have a sense of humor in those days. It helped that people back then knew that the LGBT lifestyle isn't something to be emulated. They knew it was degenerate, and they probably would have laughed if your face if you told them that people would deify it 30 years later.
