Be careful of shills: WEF Announce Recruitment of ‘Information Warriors’ To Control the Narrative on Social Media (archive.ph)

Announcing the news on a WEF podcast, UN communications director Melissa Fleming said “So far, we’ve recruited 110,000 information volunteers, and we equip these information volunteers with the kind of knowledge about how misinformation spreads and ask them to serve as kind of ‘digital first-responders’ in those spaces where misinformation travels.”

volunteers

So, they do it for free too, eh?

“I‘ve started to see the spread of misinformation as a global health crisis,” Little tells World Vs Virus. “Misinformation is that serious a threat to our society.

The only virus are these people. Be very vigilant around shills, they will target "conspiracy forums" and social media, we probably fall under one of those categories(at least in their eyes).

"...in those spaces..."
I REALLY hate that phrase. And the people who use it.

I dunno that this board is large enough to warrant it. With 110k troops, maybe one will wander in, but I'd expect FBI or equivalent trying to talk somebody into making a car bomb. These people are probably gonna stalk the few places where there's still disallowed politics in public view. That's where their numbers become useful. I'm thinking PCM and Stupidpol on Reddit (as basically the last two vaguely politically distant subs at this point), and political posts on Youtube and Facebook.

We have had some glowies, what is to say those people will not come here as well?

Glowies are paid. These do it For Free. Not enough virtue signal points here for that. Maybe over at Patriots, but KIA2, while very active, isn't quite popular enough I think, if you're not being paid.

Remember, these people are "paid" in masturbatory smug self-satisfaction. Actually politically diverse spaces will be frightening to them.

Their ("fact-checkers" and social media power users) strategy requires an audience of normies, and progs ready to jump in as audience participation. They want to make big public shows of their narrative in a way that normalizes it. They can't do that here, because there's no normie audience and no prog participants.

Glowies show up to smaller boards for the one-in-a-million chance they can find one schizo to set up and use as an example of an imminent terrorist threat to justify cracking down on their political enemies.

Very different groups with different objectives.

The more I learn about Information Warfare, the more I realize that everyone on the internet is absolutely buried in it.

.win needs an extension like *eddit Enhancement Suite. One of the nice features you can tag and annotate users so you can start to recognize patterns. If you're going to play the game you need to know who the players are.

That would be nice as I basically never look at usernames let alone remember who's who. (except for the most active users)

I basically only know the names of the fun users (who the jannies would define as "troublemakers").

I don't know how RES does it, the way I'd do it is with CSS rules with the following syntax:

a[href="/u/UserName/"]::after

{content: " Your Message Goes Here";}

Literal LIB_NPC.exe firmware updates out in the open. We should sign up so we see what their talking points are so we can mock them.

we could easily win "information warfares" if we werent constantly being censored. The truth shines brighter than any controlled narrative and lies they try to push with all the money at their disposal and their volunteer internet army

So far, we’ve recruited 110,000 information volunteers

The people they're recruiting, are the same people who used to go around lynching black people.

It's the same process.
