4 days ago Ian Walker gets fired from Kotaku, now Ben Kuchera gets fired from Polygon. Pure coincidence, or are these incidents related?
The bit about all reviews AND SCORES essentially coming straight from the EIC is pure Gamergate gold. Well done, Ben. Congrats on defending the people who threw you under the fucking bus the second you needed some time off work.
I don't understand. Why does it involve his workplace? If it happens there, then actually call the police them. If not, what the fuck are you even doing? What did you expect from this?
He keeps repeating the same things over and fucking over again, "I told HR" "I was fighting for my children" "I have court documents". But he literally doesn't say anything that makes sense, just keeps repeating things nobody fucking understands.
Is he going crazy? Because this whole thread is nonsense.

He claims that he missed work due to the abuse of his children, that he told them that this was the case, but that he was told that if he missed work, he would be fired. Hence "using this as an excuse to end his career".
I have no idea what he's talking about either; I got through a couple dozen tweets and couldn't be bothered to keep going.
But, knowing Kuchera's history, I'm going to assume that everything he says is DARVO. I'm going to assume that he's the abuser, his wife was his victim, and he lost his kids, house, and furniture because he deserved it.
He has since deleted these tweets, and some tweets in which he said things like "it's OK, I'm probably lying" or "it's just a personal crisis" - which seemed to be sarcastic.
He seems to be complaining that Vox/Polygon wouldn't let him take time off work to protect his daughter, or even to get vaccinated (hilarious, considering their publicly espoused politics).
However, 'they covered up the abuse of my children to make money' makes it sound like the child abuser is someone noteworthy, and this is more than simply him not being given time off work.
Ben Kuchera outstayed his usefulness or someone unhinged want his seat.
They hire some thugs to torment his kid and force his attention away from work.
Then he gets sacked for ignoring his work obligations.
He apparently asked for time off to deal with someone abusing his kids, and they said "lol, no" then fired him when he didn't show up because he was dealing with his kids.
Which, if true, is going to play really poorly in front of a jury if he sues.
Ok so the main takeaway is Kuchera isn't the one abusing kids but someone was abusing them? And because he asked for time off to deal with the situation, told no and would be fired if he did, he did it anyway so got fired
As much of a dick Ben is if that's all true he ain't in the wrong in this situation, and a jury would side with him in a civil case.

Good job, you corporate fucking bootlick.

He has always been crazy.
He did get the Covid vax...
Must be an excuse. There's probably people vying for his position/influence.

Here is an archive.

Pedophilia isn't a moral wrong.
Holy fuck thanks for reminding me.
That was him!
Pedophilia, it's okay until it's your daughter!
i wish nothing but ill on the pond scum that inhabit polygon.
It's about the ethics in video game journalism!
Chris Plante lowkey telling Ben "kys lol": https://twitter.com/GamesNosh/status/1555754833889660928

The two questions here are who sexually abused his kids and what has that got to do with him being fired?
He seems to be complaining that Vox/Polygon wouldn't let him take time off work to protect his daughter, or even to get vaccinated (hilarious, considering their publicly espoused politics).

Crazy conspiracy time:

I wouldn't put it past them....

Let's hope he does. He's not going to be a problem anymore, so I'd rather that he soak one of these parasitic corporations for some millions.
"Let them fight"
lol

It would be funny if his kids getting raped caused him to deradicalize because the pedo was regressive himself.
Wat the fuck did I just read?

Its hard to feel bad for people who make deals with the devil. His kids don't deserve... whatever this is I guess?
My theory was that they care more about keeping the company a safe haven for regressive leftists than anything else.
