By chemically derailing puberty they prevent the patients from growing-out of gender dysphoria, which was going to happen to the near-totality of boys after going through normal puberty.
Since that dosen't happen with chemical castration, now the majority keep having gender dysphoria and many will get physically castrated too.
I just think it's important to avoid a purity test and think of everything though the "our guy" lens. He's got some things very right. Others, he'll need convincing. This issue is a signal I think. Not something you'd have controlled opposition doing.
