For context, apparently the Persona ports is going to be localized by a very infamously bad localizer. Katrina who is very woke and agenda driven and has defended bad translations for agenda reasons.
Well, it's current year + 4, so whatever was right in current year cannot be left unscrutinized and has to be changed to the whims of the biggest pussies alive in current year.
Because the best way to ensure greatness is to do what the whiny pussies want. Obviously.
Thanks for letting me know to play the original Japanese version. Or is there a good English port? For some reason I haven't actually started P5 yet. (only played P3, P4, and some of the SMT games)
Why do they redo things? Those three games are already available in English and two of them on modern platforms. I don't know why they'd waste the money.
I find it ironic these deranged leftists are complaining we're recruiting when its their lunacy that is driving normies to our side. We just wanted to game.
Nothing worth doing is easy. An hour or two every day over a couple years will get you to a pretty good level. If you suck at kanji, I personally recommend the Remembering the Kanji series by James Heisig combined with a spaced repetition program like Anki.
Relatively, sure, but kanji isn't that much harder than learning any new language in the first place. I don't expect people to learn a new language to play a game, but it's definitely worth the time and effort if you like JRPGs, especially with this woke crap being injected.
Well, it isn't just playing JRPGs I'd be interested in. I enjoy a lot of Japanese media I'd be interested in(not just games or anime), I do plan to visit Japan one of these days, too.

That person is just doing the button prompts so it can't really get fucked up, but the principle of how awful their other work is still stands.
It begs the question why a port even NEEDS a "localization manager."
To ensure all the rice balls become burgers.

Didnt they censor the faggots in Persona 5 Royale because people were complaining they were an (accurate) stereotype?
They were very obnoxious trannies i think. Outright predatory too.

They already did that with the other release of 5. I forgot what exactly it was but it was the usual wokist talking points.

And then ask them to stop giving content to the localizers.
Wish it was that easy. Kanas are, kanji isn't.

you deserve to be hurt or worse.
When someone says "do what we say or someone will get hurt" how is that not a threat?
"What are you gonna do, translate the whole game yourself?"
Yes.
Shmup fans point their phone at the screen to translate what's on menus and such.
Who says that can't be done with an RPG?
I already do that with super robot wars and that's a turn based strategy game with a billion menus.
Phones do that now?
Google Translate, DeepL, etc.
