Nothing worth doing is easy. An hour or two every day over a couple years will get you to a pretty good level. If you suck at kanji, I personally recommend the Remembering the Kanji series by James Heisig combined with a spaced repetition program like Anki.
Relatively, sure, but kanji isn't that much harder than learning any new language in the first place. I don't expect people to learn a new language to play a game, but it's definitely worth the time and effort if you like JRPGs, especially with this woke crap being injected.
Well, it isn't just playing JRPGs I'd be interested in. I enjoy a lot of Japanese media I'd be interested in(not just games or anime), I do plan to visit Japan one of these days, too.
