Are the books worth reading? I know they are YA but back in early 00s I was pleasantly surprised by Harry Potter books. I’ve reached a point where I assume race swaps.

I mean they went woke in the books by making a character gay when there was no prior indication of it(which is when I stopped reading them), so this is par for the course.

Not really. There's some of this with Percy around girls, but it isn't a focus, and the dude they make gay showed NO indication of it before this.
