If you take those who think the left is not to far left + those that want them to move further are more then half the country. We are talking about open borders, covid restrictions, CRT in schools, gender ideology, pushing trans on kids, defund the police, affirmative action on overdrive and more then half the country thinks the country is ok or needs to move further to the left.
30 % of the country thinks that interviewing only women of color for a position to the SC is ok. This is top level racism and little less then 1/3 of the country thinks is fine.
47% think that the Russia probe was NOT politically motivated
32% of the country thinks that CDC was right to withhold data on the vaccine
49% think that kids should still have to wear mask in school
Well that’s what happens when you hammer home the idea that racism against whites isn’t racism or the stupid idea that for eternity you have to make up for past sins
I think some of those numbers are high from the polling data. The other part is nearly 100% of registered Democrats believe whatever they are told.
If Hillary Clinton came out and said: "It is every citizen's final duty to go into the recycling tanks", 60% of Democrats would strongly approve, 30% would approve, and 10% wouldn't be sure.
You can see a lot of pessimism with most people acknowledging that the US is on the wrong track, both parties having low approval ratings, etc. Economic concerns rank high as they usually do.

Mike Pence is strangely popular.
With the left. He went against Trump so now he'll be one of the "good Republicans" unless he becomes popular enough to gain power again. If that happens he'll be the next Hitler.

It's also probably just name-recognition at this point. A lot of polls end up like that if they are taken when there is no presidential campaign active. Kamala's popularity also looked overblown in this poll. She flamed out hard in the 2020 primary.
I think you doubt how popular he is among Evangelicals on the right. I suspect that's where a lot of that's coming from. Evangelicals that don't see Trump as "their guy" and would rather vote for Romney.
George W. Bush was called Hitler for every day of his presidency but one hug from Ellen and Michael Obama and he's every shitlib's favorite prodigal son now. "America is the world police" used to be a meme but shitlibs have fully embraced interventionism. There is no longer an anti-war Left. Only neoliberals and Stalinists remain.

The problem with polls is that you need a random sample to get reliable results and that's pretty much impossible. Leftists are always overrepresented because non-leftists know about the perceived concensus bullshit you mention and thus respond less. That makes it almost impossible for even an honest pollster to get accurate results.
2k is a solid sample size, but demographically it can barely even scratch the surface to get a real representative sample.
By the flaw of design surveys always lean Left heavily because they draw from students or the towns around universities. Even mailers are more likely to be mailed back by suburbanites or women, which also taint the data.
How about that stubborn support for Kamala Harris. I swear it seems like more Left-wingers would refuse to vote for Kamala Harris than Hillary Clinton.

I don't understand why people are looking at "polls". They are manipulated to hell and back and moreover, elections are constantly fortified anyway.

Polls are bullshit meant to manipulate you into questioning yourself.
Nothing in these polls made me question myself.
It's crazy to me that Bernie is as popular as he is. People really want to see America just become a second Europe.
