I think the U.S. economy and potentially many fiat currencies are going to collapse this year.
The past two years of nonsense cannot logically continue, especially with a potentially shrinking U.S. labor force (we will see what the labor numbers are tomorrow, every death or injury of a young person at this point is a huge, huge problem). I know that people say that those coming over the U.S.-Mexico border are our replacements, but they are not as intelligent or skilled as us. They cannot produce what we produce currently. Businesses will continue to die out. The supply chains are already in disarray. Large corporations have significant vacancies, and many small businesses have little to no help. This is not sustainable, and I do not even understand how it is has been sustained up to this point.
No matter what the Supreme Court does with the challenges to the mandates, a titanic collapse is coming. Shortages are already seen in stores and by factory workers. Prices are in flux. Everything is uncertain. Yet, the stock market is at record highs. Bizarre world we live in.
Pay attention, class. What you just described IS a collapse. How far it falls, however, is the real question.
Fair enough. Maybe instead of collapse, I should have used the words "smoking crater of epic proportions."
Edit: Or should have said "Here lies civilization: ???? B.C.-2022 A.D."
The expression is crater out. How deep will the hole be when it finally stops.
Conservative Treehouse estimates that the food shortages will start in about 15 days.

The grain shortage thing is real. Grandpa Joe blaming the price of meat of greedy meat packers shows how much he's paying attention. In November hay was like $1000/ton, and every other feed item was equally through the roof. We got like 4 inches of moisture in 2021, so unless we have a wet spring this summer is gonna be tough.
I have no doubt he or his handlers will consider price control on food, and that's when shit will really hit the fan. The toilet paper shortage of 2020 will be a quaint memory.
Every doubling of the price of fertilizer = 40% increase in overall food prices. 2020 we paid $350 a ton. Last year it was $750 a ton. We booked what we could at $900 a ton it's currently $1500 a ton and likely to see $2000 by the time we need nitrogen flown on the rice this summer. They won't even let us buy in advance anymore...
Sounds like I'll be eating my self-caught fish with a side of pinecones at some point in the near future
Not a crypto guy, but I'm putting some of my more traditional wealth into that. Plan to put in a hand-pump well on my property and a decent food-producing garden come spring.
System-based wealth is for good times; skills, land, and community are for bad. At least that's how I look at it.
I have no idea if they are turning it into actual survival goods.
Skills and community and access to resources are the most important things right now. I am not a fan of crypto in this environment. If things were more stable, I would trust crypto more.
You and your family are on tight rations. A gentleman offers you crypto for a bag of rice. Do you trade your rice for crypto?
I mined some bitcoins over a decade ago more or less to see what it was about and sold them at around $12k. It netted enough to buy 160 acres of farmland at the time.
I stopped buying guns in 2020 and it's ammo and additional AR parts now that they are back down in price at or near pre-covid prices. I'm talking extra firing pins, etc..
Bitcoin is crashing hard. Its dropping below 42k, thus most crypto also follows.
Oh no, I'm only up several thousand percent! Whatever will I do!!!!!!
Dumb fuck, it is not crashing. It goes up and down... and every single time it goes down, it upswings dramatically to record numbers. This is why some people should not invest and deserve to be poor.
and yet the entire upswings of it over the past year were mostly due to luck. the long term trajectory of it will be unruly, at best, and if the cybergames continue- worthless

seems like someone here bought high and sold low. lol. seems so angry and personal.
Yeah, no. Investor since 2008. Up maybe 5,000 percent. Stop spreading misinformation, you nigger kike.
Nope, I think those retards play the game of 'computar go up' computar never go down' that they are so focused on made up profits on imaginary currency, that once the crash comes down, they will be entirely blindsided and wonder how a function of value that exists only on the internet could ever let them down
Good thing I have no money to survive any of this.
What's this "yet"?
You do realize that equities are more like commodities than currencies, right?
Yeah it's a bit like saying: "Inflation is soaring, and yet the price of gold is going up".
Of course it is.
The market is up because the economy is in shambles. What else are you supposed to do with your money? You could buy crypto for more volatility. Or gold for less. But right now stock in Apple doesn't feel so much less safe than gold. The writing's on the wall - a handful of companies are going to own the future, and their value is only going to go up. If it goes down it's because something happened that's making everything go down.
In a strong economy there are many more things people do with their capital. High risk investments, VC funds, real estate, creating a business, etc.
In an uncertain economy people are keeping their capital in relatively low risk securities. With inflation as high as it is, that's the safest way to not lose so much - otherwise at 7% inflation you're losing half your wealth in just a decade.
Exactly. People are dubious about the country, the economy, and the dollar, but the smart money knows that the companies, for the most part, will be fine. Ownership is power, and the companies own a lot. Whatever may happen to the dollar, owning a share of those companies will give you a cut in whatever is to come.
We're not anywhere close to a communist revolution that would put the companies in jeopardy. Rather, we're close to a conflict between social statists and libertarians, and the companies can live with either of those outcomes.
That is fair. I could have stated this better This is not a full-on essay and is more of a statement that the way society and the economy functions right now is not sustainable. No matter what happens on the legal front.
Edit: If I have the time or the interest, I could write a full article. This was my stream of consciousness more than anything.
na probably you get the real bad around 2030+ unless some unexpected big crisis strike before that date
I think its arriving early at this point. 2030 was the plan, but things are spiraling faster than they thought...
Here is the problem, these corporations don’t care about labor shortages. Their goal is to reduce the size of their labor force each year to pretend that they are making record profits, so all this labor shortage is doing is hastening the inevitable layoffs of the next several years. The people left behind are the gullible workaholics (idiots) who sacrifice everything for the sake of a company that is just one stock valuation away from letting them go. These executives are so detached from the ground level that they think that everything is disposable and replaceable. They overvalue their “leadership skills” and are convinced that the corporate structure itself is what keeps the company alive and successful, not the people within the structure.
I think Europe is in a much worse position than the US. The Euro will continue to collapse this year and that international wealth will continue to rush into US stocks and bonds. Because the US is the world reserve currency, it will be the last domino to fall.
It's intentional. https://archive.md/0agUR. There's dozens of these initiatives, (Digital Pound Foundation).
They're trying to fully separate currencies from anything tangible other than their say so.
We lost the gold/silver backed. Fiat is based on debt accrual.
I have some investments and some in crypto but I have started learning some survival skills. Fished all my life but I need to do some hunting and planting

Everything post 2008 financial crisis is nonsense, and that itself was caused by nonsense, so we've been living in in a fiat dreamworld for way, way longer than anyone wants to admit.
As far as skilled jobs go, whites are to be replaced by asians. For everything else, south and central americans. Whites will then be an unemployable underclass.
It will take 40 years.
There will be no collapse, natives will be presented with bulbs & fo to keep quiet and they will oblige.
