Would love something like that, honestly. We do the big get together, but it's just presents, where literally no one gets what they want, because no one communicates. Then a massive, OTT lunch, lots of drinking, christmas crackers, and generally then uniquely Southern Hemisphere shit like swimming in the pool, and playing backyard cricket with the dog...
It's... Fine, but it's really just like a BBQ with extra trimmings. Not very "Christmassy" at all. And literally almost EXACTLY the same every year. I can't believe how much stress and friction it causes my family, though... They even fight over who has done the best food prep, and who has the best oven!! :-/

Unfortunately I really do not like this day/period, simply because... Family is deeply painful, for me. But I appreciate the holiday, and I've learned to... Appreciate Christmas for what it is. I'm just yet to have one that isn't painful, and stressful, and almost literally my least favourite day of the year...
Oh well, at least I can get drunk, lol.
I hope one day I can have an actual "Happy Christmas", maybe even with some family of my own, or friends. Or even just... on my own. One day. That's literally the dream, ha.
I hope you appreciate your families, those of you who don't have toxic ones, or those of you who truly get to CHOOSE who to spend the day with, because... I can't tell you how lucky you are.
