this.
she was avoidant, never claimed it. the media jumped on it when they heard the story and amplified it to mythical ridiculousness. when it was outed that she did almost no work, they shifted to falsely claiming she did the key work. then people went through the code because it's public, and no, she didn't do the key work either.
the soyboy went along with the feminism narrative because he's a loser feminist ally himself who thinks being a male feminist will get him laid.
the media narrative was never true in the first place.
okay, but did she come out and disavow the original story? or is it only when it became clear that she could not take false credit by remaining silent, that she "regretted" it? if people didn't start digging, do you think she wouldn't have tried using the "smart woman creates black hole" story to advance her career?
yeah, she absolutely didn't ask for this, but rather than immediately setting the record straight, she tried benefiting from it. I've seen many cases like this and none of them deserve sympathy.

Hey, he makes numbers. If you wanted good words you shoulda looked for a languager.
That's a meme anyway.
He works in an often thankless field that advances human knowledge, and should be lauded for that.
However, that is definitely the look of a guy who convinces himself he is only single because there aren’t enough women in his field.
He's been subtley overdominated by a parent.
He's capable of figuring things out and changing, so he probably would stop being single if he had enough exposure to women his age to realize they don't actually respond well to poor fashion and endlessly letting himself be rolled over.
Depends in whether he could gain the perspective to understand what's actually going on, or whether he remains to self conscious about it to realize it.
He's skinny, he probably is drowning in pussy.
I find it funny that the media have to cherry pick and create a fictional character for their drama 'based upon real events' reporting. Truth was, some of the earliest coders were women and most of those stopped because they got out-competed when men joined the field as part of the computer/video game revolution. Of course, the real and successful women aren't the ones they want to focus on, even when they choose to look at history, instead doing the same creative writing/editing to them as they do modern women, ala Lovelace and Katherine Johnson.
Women were in the field - when coding was simple (primitive computers were so slow you could only do so much).
Women left the field - when computers got faster and coding got complicated.
Men started leaving field - when coding got to complicated even for them.
Coding made a lot if money - so men invented ways to make coding simpler.
Older women wanted to move into cushy high paid management positions so they used "women in coding" to provide cover.
I could write a whole wall of text on the various things women go through to get out of coding once they realize what it's actually like - women still don't actually want to be in coding for the most part. Men often reach this same point around their 30's or 40's where the tedium starts to get to them and they try to move into other positions - management, sales, anything else.
You missed the first step: Women were the field. The word computer originally referred to a person, usually a woman, who would sit at a desk and make simple and mind-numbingly repetitive calculations. Then, men figured out how to automate the job.

Makes sense.
Feminism is a cancer designed to topple nations from the inside by destroying the natural order.
Everyone at high levels understands it's not actually about helping anyone.
Women really should be at home taking care of a family, that's appreciating them for the highest possible good and glory they could possibly ever do. Raising a child is a higher job than going to the freaking moon, it's creating and raising a human being. Telling women that homemaking is below them is sinister.
They most certainly shouldn't be voting either, way too easily manipulated emotionally, again, it's not putting them down at all, it's everyone being in their proper place.
Traditionalism works because that's the result of thousands of years of trial and error, to throw it all away and to "progress" away from that is insanity and most often done on purpose for destructive motives.
"With disdain I will throw my gauntlet
Full in the face of the world,
And see the collapse of this pygmy giant
Whose fall will not stifle my ardour.
Then will I wander godlike and victorious
Through the ruins of the world
And, giving my words an active force,
I will feel equal to the Creator."
-- "Menschenstolz", by Karl Marx
"Thus Heaven I've forfeited,
I know it full well,
My soul, once true to God,
Is chosen for hell."
-- Karl Marx
It's literally this
It literally is.
Stealing other people's work since...the beginning of time.
Only thing they've created 100% on their own was Covid-19.
Don't forget they are 100% responsible for your sunny disposition as well!
Damn son.
Touché.
Meme gender
I'm wondering why the final thing she did that was listed in the purple screenshot wasn't boxed in red - it shows a little more technical ability.
"added function to figure out the amt of systematic noise you need to add to get to a chisq of 1"
Probably for a chi-squared distribution.
I'd like to see what the other people did in order to have a proper baseline before I make judgments about her abilities.
A few of the other non-boxed items appear to show some technical prowess, like fixing a bug in the code.
According to COCOMO model, it would take 50 programmers 5 years to write 850,000 lines of code. Either most of the code is large tables or someone else wrote it and he just committed it.
Someone else pointed out that it's 850,000 edits, not lines of code.
No, it's 850,000 lines added, 130,000 lines removed.
Lmfao.
So she made the idea and he made it work in code.
Invention is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration.
900,000 lines of code? Are journalists defining the entire repo including GUI, fonts etc as "the algorithm"?
