This is a paper written by two European scientists, an Englishman and a German, addressed to several government agencies responsible for vaccine distribution in both Europe and the USA, asking them to reconsider distributing the Pfizer vaccine. The whole thing is a worthwhile read if you don't mind translating scientific jargon, it covers multiple topics including the problems with the vaccine trials themselves, as well as inaccurate methods used for Covid testing, but this is the part that specifically caught my eye

There is no indication whether antibodies against spike proteins of SARS viruses would also act like anti-Syncytin-1 antibodies. However, if this were to be the case this would then also prevent the formation of a placenta which would result in vaccinated women essentially becoming infertile (emphasis mine)

Probably not a coincidence, though not necessarily intentional either. The risk of sterilization is an acceptable trade off for herd immunity. There are too many people, and a reduction in birth is desirable. Herd immunity is beneficial to those currently living. It's a win-win.
Not my own personal belief, but it seems to be the way modern academics view the world, which spills into their fruits.
Counterpoint: if millions of people found out that they were made infertile by these vaccines, exactly what would prevent those people from drawing and quartering everyone in government, big tech, and big pharma? Some little piece of paper with "immunity" written on it?
The cynical and bitter side of me not only desperately wants to see that happen, but I also think that a sterilization of everyone who submitted to the media's fear porn and rushed to get themselves injected with mystery serums from unaccountable multi-billion dollar pharmaceutical companies doesn't deserve to procreate, and I think we'd be better of for that.

Paternalism.
Fundamentally, a lot of the authoritarianism is generated by people who are responding to resentment against their positions of power. So they use the wealth and success that they have to grant themselves power that will then be used in a very paternalistic and protectionist way to "take care of" people who didn't succeed as much as the powerful did.
This doesn't quell resentment in the way that the paternalists faced originally. Instead, it stokes it. Like pulling at a Chinese finger trap, the more effort you put into paternalism, the more resentful people become because the reason people were resentful is because they wanted what you had, and now it looks like you're controlling everything... which is true if you engaged in paternalism.
Worse, the paternalists get angry that they're being greeted with more resentment so they start absolutely lashing out at dissent screaming that they know what's best for you. They'll get violent because they feel slighted by people they genuinely were originally trying to help by gifting them shit.
So has the paternalists become more violent, they balkanize everyone below them into zealots that worship them and antagonists that want to see them dead.
Eventually, the violence of the elites promotes their purging by others. Which does not solve the problem either, because the replaced group will stand there and say that they will engage in paternalism for the right people and things will be better... which furthers balkanization and resentment.
Eventually, hopefully, some group of people assume power and control and don't engage in paternalism, and the society will begin to recover.

Frankly it probably isn't a method of population control (note that the Fabian Socialists and former Nazi Environmentalists dominate Europe, both of whom promote population control and reduction, and yet the one vaccine with mRNA is still competing with other vaccines). They just don't really know or care how many pregnancies will be lost.
It's far more likely that this is going to go like many of the past "scientific" fads that end in absolute disaster. Including hormone blockers for kids.
