Best of luck, but even if Trump wins it won't be the end of it.
It'll slow it down, sure, and will contribute to ending it, definitely, and it's truly welcomed, but I very much doubt you'll be able to unpick sixty years of concerted effort to subvert your country in just two presidential terms.
I honestly do think that Trump is on the path to rooting out things. With his executive orders about Critical Theory and being able to fire more public workers, he clearly is pointed in the right direction even if it took 4 years to get there.
Of course he can only do so much, and the real targets to look for are the ones in schools and media. Technology companies as well of course.
No matter what happens it's going to be a while before anything gets solved definitively, and that's not down to just one person in office. It's an effort that can take more than a lifetime to help and requires very many people working together to accomplish.
there will likely be a civil war rather than submission
Speaking of someone being more optimistic....
And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?
After all, you knew ahead of time that those bluecaps were out at night for no good purpose. And you could be sure ahead of time that you'd be cracking the skull of a cutthroat. Or what about the Black Maria sitting out there on the street with one lonely chauffeur - what if it had been driven off or its tires spiked? The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin's thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt!
If . . . if . . . We didn't love freedom enough. And even more - we had no awareness of the real situation. We spent ourselves in one unrestrained outburst in 1917, and then we hurried to submit. We submitted with pleasure!
He may not be my president, but the sight of Donald Trump standing up to liberals, enraging them with his mere presence, and then making fun of them at a rally, has been one of the things keeping me sane over the last four years.
Feels like more than just a U.S election on the line. Every country in the Western world has been affected by the new left, and with the antifa/blm peacefulness, this election feels like a kind of referendum on wokeness.
seems like all other elections aren't real, like you're just picking between two sides of the same coin
100%, that's what it is. I'm sitting here, nerve-racked, watching the results come in for an election an ocean away. And it's because this one feel like it really matters.
If Donald Trump wins resoundingly, it speaks to the disconnect the left have with the electorate, and without having to worry about being reelected he could conduct a full-on offensive against the new left.
What I hope for most is a resounding loss for Democrats, akin to the one Labour had in the U.K, but with Donald Trump at the helm rather than some spineless, foppish, little feminist. Oh, the fun we could have.
rather than some spineless, foppish, little feminist.
He’s a fucking jellyfish in a skin suit, with absolutely no morals or any redeeming qualities. He wants to be the next Churchill but lacks literally everything that Churchill had in terms of fortitude.
Make sure all of you who are registered vote Republican down the whole ballot.
I voted for one "democrat" who was running for a local government seat against an establishment Republican civil servant. The Democrat was explicitly Christian, 2A supporting, and free market supporting. So yeah, ""democrat"".
At the same time especially for you TheImpossible1, I voted for a female Judge for my Supreme Court because she was endorsed by a rabid gun rights organization, and her male competition was endorsed by a plethora of Progressive Activists organizations.
Don't just assume, do a little research before you go if you haven't already.
It's go time people! Anyone who hasn't voted yet must drag their asses from their chairs to the voting stations and vote for Trump and the Republicans! I want to see all of us walking around with a "I've voted" sticker or button!
I think possibly for the first time ever I voted totally Republican (at least post-Bush and in a big-year election). The Democrats in Texas just keep beating their head against a wall waiting for a change in the views of people apparently. In my area if you vote for a Democrat it's also damn near impossible to vote for a man, it's all women. The issues have become so partisan that for the first time ever it looks like they are all following a party script.
For years I'd look up the candidates and every single Democrat now--healthcare sucks, more money for education, etc. Totally irrelevant if that's even an issue in their area, just regurgitate the narrative. For example, why the F would a state rep. in my area make their entire campaign about education funding when the area they are trying to get votes from already has an extremely well funded and financially stable public schools. No one who has kids in these schools sit around moaning about how poor the schools are. They just are trying to tick boxes that they think progressive people vote for. Give answers on taxes, guns, oil/gas, infrastructure, etc. that are actually important to people here? Nah, we can't do that. Regurgitate the narrative.
The favorite story I have heard so far is the Amish are coming out and droves to vote Trump, and even the women (who normally don't vote) are voting.
Who knows if it's true, but if it is it's interesting to consider the fucking Amish have more fight in them and willingness to bend their ideology a bit to win than these ConInc or IDW people who just can't quite convince themselves to vote Trump because he says mean things on twitter.
Then you are brainless. I mean this completely unironically. Absolutely retarded. Conservatives are so milquetoast and cucking out on every other issue, yet it's still not enough? In a civil war I wish people like this would be the first to go

Gulag archipelago, Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn. For those curious.
One of my favorite quotes.
I'd like to think that this is not a political partisan place,
but I don't see the corruption in the media, the sjw's, the big tech's overreach,
being addressed under Biden,
and American politics keep spilling over into out part of the world.
When the conversation ends, the violence begins. And the message from the left, the media, and big tech is clear: conversation over.
Agreed - Biden's comments - and either misunderstandings or misrepresentations - regarding Brexit do not fill me with hope.
If he gets in, who is he going to lean on to get British sovereignty cast aside?
Best of luck from the UK.

I hope we get a good show
Good luck you Yanks. I'll be rooting for a Trump victory from across the pond.

I did my part!
Good luck my American friends, we're all watching with baited breath
If Biden wins, there will be lots of salt from you guys, the Donald, r/Conservatives, KiA etc
If Trump wins, there will be lots of salt from the media, the rest of Reddit, Resetera etc
Feels good man :D
So basically you are a centrist enjoying the drama?
I'm not American so yeah I'm enjoying the drama
Me neither, but if you can't empathize with either side you're a retard.
Why would I empathise? I disagree with both sides
Then you are brainless. I mean this completely unironically. Absolutely retarded. Conservatives are so milquetoast and cucking out on every other issue, yet it's still not enough? In a civil war I wish people like this would be the first to go
They are both scum and it has nothing to do with me
