I mean kids in wheelchairs with physical ailments is probably one of the "inclusion" groups I have the most compassion for, having not gotten there by the way of mental illness. I could probably talk myself past my ever increasing aversion for DEI characters if that type character's placement was right. Someone that looks like they'd be in the fat cart at Walmart with a 5 sizes too small mask stretched over their face screaming at me about health, well that isn't going to shine those people in a positive light anyway.
The first one was diverse enough.
Besides, if I’m a god, I’m surely not going to be in a fucking wheelchair. I’m either going to be god enough to heal myself, or command some lesser beings to carry me around on a golden and velvet throne.
I won’t be buying this game over that alone, and I have every game Supergiant has made.
Superb artwork depicting any American public transport I've been on.
Yeah, I remember when I started it before the combat annoying me. If it gets too awful the second run I'll either cheat if I want to finish the game or move on.
Yeah, that. I don't think it's a tranny but just an ugly woman. I actually looked her up a bit the second time through the trailer and at the very least couldn't easily find a screeching Twitter profile full of pronouns. Or really much of anything at all.
I'm still always skeptical of any game.
The combat was weird if I remember right. Otherwise it's an RPG that goes for a really realistic depiction of medieval Bohemia. I only played probably 10 hours a couple years ago, I'm going to start fresh. I've heard a lot of good things about it.
I had no idea Gamefly even still existed.
Thought this might be of interest to you all. I didn't really notice any diversity at all, and if I recall the original pissed a lot of those people off, so, maybe something good coming. I just re-bought the original one to play a few weeks ago as I started it on Game Pass years ago and never made it far. I'll probably pick it up again this summer.
I would totally not be surprised by it being intentional. Older men at least those I know about seemed to highly value reading and literature. My granddad always pushed me to read, and when he got older he was more well off and bought up a pretty big collection of high end books of just classic literature that he'd let me read and now myself and my brother split up when he passed. Even my great-grandfather from a totally different part of the family, who was very much greasy old school blue collar held on to some books I have my hands on now. They are compliations of 20-40 page writings on different things in history, written with detail and intelligence the modern world would have you believe no one but those with a list of degrees could even understand. Men used to value this stuff, yet now how many average-age adult men read at all?
School made me hate reading. Prior to around 7th grade, I used to read a ton. Easily one like "adult-sized" book every two weeks. Up until that point, school reading wasn't much of a thing. We might read a book at school or the books were honestly so below the level I could read them in spare time at school over a couple days.
Suddenly, they want to heap on all these books. I didn't even hate most of the books if I'm honest, but it's all the twisting them around to dig up all these supposed hidden meanings and analyse the shit out of them. Don't dare submit a paper questioning the approved analysis either. I eventually said to hell with it about 9th grade and just started buying those cliff note things and making up essays the night before. I would do just as well anyway.
The last paper I ever submitted to an English/Literature/Writing type class was the final paper for a college course, it was a pretty open ended type assignment and I did it on why the overanalysis of literature was a bad thing. It was very detailed, cited, etc. Far and away the most time I spent on a college paper for such a class. It was also the worst grade by far I ever got on a college paper for such a class. Yeah, the one I forgot about and wrote at 2am the night before it was due full of drivel did better.
I was almost 30 before I really got back into reading again, and still not at the level of kid me. Albeit, I have less time to spend on it now.
I wonder how many of them really want to buy a house. I don't mean bitch about it, I mean legitimately try with realistic expectations. What I do see is people that insist they couldn't possibly save a down payment, when I can personally see them spending 3x more on total bullshit or careless purchases than I'm willing, and I'm 20 years older and have my own house and other properties in my pocket. Or they refuse to live anywhere that isn't a nearly new mansion. There's a lot on the market right now around here that would provide a decent place to live that are good enough areas to let your kids play outside without getting shot in a drive by.
That's only based on areas I know, which are red state suburbs. Yeah, it's a lot worse than it was, but just at a glance seems to be improving. Prices are falling slowly too, and that's what I think needs to happen. Free government money lending is not the answer. It's also still in a weird spot where it's really a bad deal to buy versus the cost of rent, particularly if you think of it on a monthly payment basis. I have rental property and it's gotten tougher to make money. I'm not a megacorp and answer only to myself, so I've been content scraping just above break even on them lately. If the tenants leave in either of my properties, I likely put them up for sale though. Moreso because I want the cash for something else than rental houses though.
There's almost always way too many local measures and positions on the ballot that I do want to vote for that I'd never spoil my ballot. These roles served as a pretty effective buffer between me and the crazies during the covid clownery for example. DC politicians are a tiny part of the ballot, I could write-in or choose not to vote for any of those. I don't believe it's mandatory to pick one to vote for.
Yandex often lists RT and Sputnik first. I actually like it, and I don't really care if the Russian government gets my usage data as much as western big tech. They have much less they can really do with it.
That made me more interested into what you're on about. So I went and looked and came across several places with stories about dungeon masters. Uh, yeah, the insanity. My brain doesn't work in the way that would be required to play that game or participation event or whatever you want to call it.
Self-absorbed, yes that was exactly the word I didn’t have in my head when I was thinking of him!
It’s not personal or anything, if it was I’d want him crushed under even false accusations. I wouldn’t be shocked if he was actually a nice guy in the right context, just because he’s interested in things other than sports also.
Yeah, that is curious. Haven’t I seen before that they love to file lawsuits? I’m not sure how they would win, tons of those type fantasy things are just lifted from Tolkien and the like anyway. They can still litigate you to death though.
I think in the end it’s all far too autistic for me. Maybe if I had a group of friends that played only for fun, sure. Going to “public” where to going to mostly people who breathe DnD air, eat DnD cereal, and wipe themselves with DnD toilet paper, well that doesn’t sound too enticing. Interesting to learn about though.
Yeah, I’ve been less interested the past few years but still follow. Always liked the NL rivals, Braves and Cardinals series were fun. AL West is just salt and vinegar.
The Astros should sign him. They have pitching issues to start the season, everyone hates them anyway, and they can afford to lose a few screechy women on Reddit. The local fans would get over it and like a week and the team already takes shit everywhere else. I'm not sure he'd go there, he's been very vocal against them over the years.
Biggest thing that has always confused me about these games is why there is a constant need for some central authority to regularly distribute a rulebook. Did the rules of the previous game just not work? I think it's just marketing and wanting to sell stuff. The only "table games" I play would be poker and chess to a lesser degree. Yeah, there's variants to poker especially, but I don't have to have "Official Poker rules, 28th edition, 2024 revision" where they just up and decide that queens defeat kings now.
What did all the other nearby strong independent women who don't need no man do? Nothing? Why not?
Their sheep will always say something like "but, but, MLB did an investigation they must actually know what happened or they wouldn't have disciplined." Insanity. At best they read a few public court records and did whatever would get them less flak in the media, which is undoubtedly believe all women.
I've always been torn on Bauer because on the face of things he seems like the perfect incarnation of a stereotypical jock asshole prick that looks down on literally every creature who he is sure is below him. I wonder how much of that personality was created or would have come out if he wasn't constantly under attack for not following the approved politics, though.
I'm not torn on what any women who made up or exaggerated anything to go after him. May they rot in prison and then burn in hell.
It was recently implied that I lack intelligence for not being interested in TTRPGs. I submit this as exhibit A for the defense.
I'd discuss with you, but since you want to sling insults, it's really not worth my time.
Calling out sluts and whores doesn't have to result in the ugly garbage we get put in games in return. I'm not a fan of most of the artwork I see where they've been given butts and boobs all large enough to have their own orbiting moons on a stick body either.
Still, I believe at least 2 if not 3 of the video game images you picture are the result of mods and not as the game was delivered. The easiest to see one, the DoA 6 woman in the bottom right, would be perfectly acceptable as a model in any game with appropriate clothing. It's attractive, realistically proportioned, and far better than some frizzy haired ugly faced mess in a modern game.
Well that looks absolutely terrible.
