I can't find the post on reddit but I wouldn't put it past some pedo to do it, especially in Australia.
That said, OP X/Twitter is a Teenus MDE poster. MDE will never die, can't wait for WP2, and all that but I think we should vet some of these post before just rage posting them here.
It doesn't look like a violation of rule 7 to post usernames. reddit faggots need to be called out, early and often.
I've heard and briefly looked in to the idea that the CIA worked to sell people like Pollock, jazz, rock, and that sort of thing to American and European elite art circles to oppose Soviet Realism and expand America's social influence. Soviet Realist stuff, while heavily influenced by the state and a huge target of censorship, actually shows humanity. Which makes sense to me given that the previous Russian Empire turned out a ton of art that was explicitly about humanity.
I don't have time to go back down this rabbit hole but there are reddit (I know) posts like this that ultimately concludes "The CIA did not create modern art, this claim is flase" No shit Snopes.
Also, I have to include the top comment
This is a super excellent write up. Weirdly enough, I am an art historian/museum educator who has always focused on contemporary public (primarily American) sculpture and I've never even heard of the CIA creating modern art... (probably because I've been in academic ARTH circles where that idea isn't circulated) but to me, it's such a weird idea that an American agency would push for anything other than traditional, conservative European art lol.
Direct quote, emphasis mine. "Pseudo intellectuals" indeed.
This is /pol/'s general consensus. Their thought is that all, or at least most, of those gay tik tok pastors are fake. I know the site isn't what it used to be but if there was ever a place for some autists to track them down and order their church a few hundred pizzas it would be there. And they haven't.
That said, churches have been infiltrated and women clergy seem to be actual clergy. The fact that it was even allowed says a lot. Now that they are in these positions they are going to be the loudest on social media and most likely to turn up to an event.
Hearing about how this movie was made and passing though various studios and never being showed is crazy. That, and how general media reported on it, pretty much proves that some people really did not want this movie to be shown. Why on earth would any one not want this to come out? I can only guess...
If I recall correctly, Russia is the only country openly accepting South Africans claiming asylum. Many South Africans try to claim refugee status in Canada, Ireland, and the US but are denied.
It's honestly a damn shame. This is their country, that they built, and are being displaced by people that were never from there. I'm very much not a bleeding heart type but I genuinely feel for these people.
I know a few South Africans and have invited them to crash on my couch until they can sort things out. They refuse because they feel they are still at home. I can not imagine having to decide whether to abandon your homeland or fear getting murdered (or worse) every day.
I am around your age and worked at a Fed Ex facility right after high school. When I was loading trucks I found out my sup was a philosophy major. Being a kid with a big interest in philosophy that jarred me.
I decided to not go to college. It's worked out for me.
I worded my post poorly. The $60k was donated directly to the family, not on a flight.
My guess is that $60k was to be cover a charter flight for the entire family to Arlington and back, hotel accommodations, things like that.
This sounded almost too crazy. After a very quick look this is what I could figure out.
Sgt. Gee was initially taken to her hometown where a funeral was held. Her family decided she should be ultimately be buried in Arlington. Transport of remains, after some point, is done by commercial flights. Not sure if that is paid for. Per DOD policy:
the primary mode of transportation will be dedicated military or military contracted aircraft if air transportation is required to further transport the deceased member from the preparing mortuary to the place selected by the PADD. All other remains requiring air transportation will be flown on commercial airlift.
A nonprofit, Honoring Our Fallen, stepped in and made a $60,000 donation *directly to the family to have her remains flown by a private flight. Given airlines' track record with moving remains, this was a blessing. The family wasn't forced to pay but, again, I'm not sure if they would have had to pay for the final commercial flight. I wouldn't be surprised if they were, though.
Everything about Zelennskyy is true.
*Edit: donation was made directly to the family, not just for the flight, see post below.
fucking lol. I came to this thread, saw "...continue reading thread?" and figured I should move on.
Sometimes these threads can be worth a read. But as soon as a guy with a username like that comes in with a Very Strong Opinion, bail.
As far as I understand it crucifixion would not be blasphemy. It was a legitimate form of execution and happened to be the one that Christ was subjected to. It wasn't reserved for Christians, or Christ.
I am down with going full Vlad.
So they bent the knee and the jannies in place matter so much they can not be removed. This is the true mission ⟨™⟩
Saying shit like " the community is a helpful resource for veterans experiencing mental health crises. The mod said that if Reddit removed the team, it could put the community at risk'
This is a real thing but damn does this feel cheap. "we are the only resource" "you can't live outside of our love"
Illegals convicted of major crimes should just be executed.
Absolutely. Capital punishment is not something set as a deterrent. It's a recognition that you have done something so unacceptable to society that you will be removed from it.
Being an illegal and doing this? No appeal, no possibility of parole, public execution. A lengthy sentence is not rehabilitation and just a temporary removal from society. Why should we have to pay for it?
Outside of outright execution I would be in favor of deportation but given our borders they will be back here in a few months. They will commit terrible acts coming north, they will do the same thing here, and be met with a joke of a sentence, again.
Actually, in cases like this I can see execution being used as a deterrent. But only if we start putting heads on spikes at the border. Bodies in gibbets. The invaders have a medieval sense of justice? It would be down right xenophobic to not show the same.
I usually hate things pretending to be other things when it comes to architecture, design, materials but that Portugal apartment is very well executed. God damn.
Space Cat Tactics looks fun.
Thanks for doing these, man.
They are pretty good stories and add a lot to the world. They explain why there are green apple Fossoways and red apple Fossoways, for example. It has nothing to do with the overall story but its one of those details that GRRM can't help himself from writing.
My reddit ban speedrun strat is to call bardfinn a faggot. It's impressive how fast you get banned.
Ha! I think it was your comment on that TES 6 post that I put this question to my friends.
Elder Scrolls 6 will come out first. Bethesda, as a company, will always want to make money. Martin, as a person, has made enough and seems to just not care about his "legacy" He is fine with just being an editor and "contributor" these days.
I didn't even know there was a Dunc and Egg show in the works. There is no way it will be good.
Huh. I guess I am lol.
