One group that truly has an asylum case. If I was still working for immigration I’d be happy to process those applications. Although I’d love to go to the NYT, Salon, Vox, etc headquarters and get them to justify to me (and I’ll stay until I get a real answer) why that song is ok and not racist hatred but criticism of severe rioting and destruction is white supremacy
If I recall correctly, Russia is the only country openly accepting South Africans claiming asylum. Many South Africans try to claim refugee status in Canada, Ireland, and the US but are denied.
It's honestly a damn shame. This is their country, that they built, and are being displaced by people that were never from there. I'm very much not a bleeding heart type but I genuinely feel for these people.
I know a few South Africans and have invited them to crash on my couch until they can sort things out. They refuse because they feel they are still at home. I can not imagine having to decide whether to abandon your homeland or fear getting murdered (or worse) every day.
These farmers need to put their fertilizer to secondary uses for self defense set ups.
No one can stay awake every night waiting for an attack, when there's fields to tend to during the day.
There's not enough of them to prevent it though. It's fighting a lost cause at this point, considering nobody is going to help them.
If anything, leaving will be a more effective way to fight because it'll accelerate the absolute ass-fucking SA will get when they kill/lose all their competent farmers.
The Rhodesian bush wars show how efficient small smart groups can be against large groups of idiots. When you can massacre your opponents by weaponizing fried chicken delivery trucks (holy rolling stereotype, Batman!), it doesn't take a lot to remove the problem makers.
Having said that, too many of the people with smarts and stones have fled or been killed.

Now, I will say that the man who wrote it intentionally white washed the violence, but there's no question it was supportive of Sherman's total war strategy. And again: it was during an actual war.
