Absolutely. Capital punishment is not something set as a deterrent. It's a recognition that you have done something so unacceptable to society that you will be removed from it.
Being an illegal and doing this? No appeal, no possibility of parole, public execution. A lengthy sentence is not rehabilitation and just a temporary removal from society. Why should we have to pay for it?
Outside of outright execution I would be in favor of deportation but given our borders they will be back here in a few months. They will commit terrible acts coming north, they will do the same thing here, and be met with a joke of a sentence, again.

Would crucifixion be considered blasphemous? That would accomplish a similar goal to the old "heads on spikes" routine. Could also go full "Vlad the Impaler" for another option.
As far as I understand it crucifixion would not be blasphemy. It was a legitimate form of execution and happened to be the one that Christ was subjected to. It wasn't reserved for Christians, or Christ.
I'm relieved the strategy they employed with this didn't become too commonplace. This one they ran without any proof (the crime itself hadn't even been reported), waited a while for it to be called a hoax, and then decided to actually provide evidence. That all this happened while they knew the rapist was walking free is probably the only reason we haven't really seen it since. The media and the doctor were practically accessories to the rape. Turns out it's pretty difficult to have enough evidence of a crime to use it as a political cudgel while not implicating yourself.
