And they shot a dog too. Plus, "fun" fact, one of the primary shooters at Ruby Ridge was at Waco as well.

So, you're confirming that GG was a pretty innocent thing that was unfairly vilified by The Powers That Be, Heffernan? Cause that's what Ruby Ridge was.

But that way they don't get to prance about virtue signalling about how Stunning And Brave (tm) they are

No, they're just proudly ignorant. And I mean proudly. Take, for example, the case of Neil Steinberg back in 2016. Guy tried to buy an AR-15 after the Pulse shooting so he could "prove" how easy it is to get a gun. Gets bounced on the background check due to a history of alcohol problems and domestic violence. Rather than maybe changing his opinion, he then writes an article about the experience titled "Would-be terrorists can buy guns, but a reporter? No."

Oy, you got a loiscence for that kid?

You sure you're not a high-capacity breeder?

I'm sorry, you can't have your child with you in public.

You crossed state lines with a toddler?!

And I could come up with a bunch more, but that's enough for now.

Yep. I checked England, France and Germany and all of them are some flavor of (roughly) first trimester only.

In reality, like 0.2% of the population are sexual deviants and the rest have either been groomed or are LARPing.

10x lower than that, even

Many reviewers are not aware that this figure includes conditions which most clinicians do not recognize as intersex, such as Klinefelter syndrome, Turner syndrome, and late-onset adrenal hyperplasia. If the term intersex is to retain any meaning, the term should be restricted to those conditions in which chromosomal sex is inconsistent with phenotypic sex, or in which the phenotype is not classifiable as either male or female. Applying this more precise definition, the true prevalence of intersex is seen to be about 0.018%, almost 100 times lower than Fausto-Sterling s estimate of 1.7%.

It's probably toothless internet bravado, but assuming this person means it,

It's beyond toothless internet bravado, as the person is MovieBob, aka Bob Chipman. He's been like this for years. Don't have it immediately available but I'm sure someone has a link to an archive of his greatest hits, such as when he talked about how skipping is grandmother's funeral so he could play more Super Mario was a foundational event in his life, and how the console wars were his own personal Vietnam (at least, I think that was it).

That said, someone with more spine and less weight than MovieBob may well act on these type of sentiments someone soon. But, apparently it's not a violent enough threat for social media companies to care.

How do you catch the same disease - which supposedly has a 1-2 week incubation time - over 3 weeks? Given that he is apparently showing symptoms and didn't just have a positive test come back, I think the much more likely thing is that he never got over the first bout and the disease is just resurfacing.

I believe on a per capita basis, the most dangerous is actually the "Hands Up Don't Shoot!" capital, aka St Louis, Missouri.

archive of the Kotaku article if anyone wants it

Wherever you land on this matter (and let’s not beat around the bush: he got away with murder), I’d hope a person’s central thought would be: innocent people died.

says it all.

To quote one of the comments out there

This scheme is many things, but it is not security.

Even ignoring all the privacy issues in mandating biometrics, biometrics can be fairly easily stolen IRL - heck, DHS lost data on 100,000 people over a couple months.

Second,

Equally important, the credential can be stored online so that it’s available when I replace or lose my current phone,

And, entirely invalidating the process. If it's stored online in a usable format, then it will be stolen. Not "can be", "will be". Who knows when, but it WILL happen. Those credentials need to be hashed (at a minimum), or they will get stolen and will be used for compromising accounts (or likely identity theft since it's biometrics).

Plus,

Bob Lord was the chief security officer for the Democratic National Committee and chief information security officer at Yahoo.

Trusting someone who was in charge of DNC security is stupid, trusting someone who was in charge of Yahoo security is idiotic, trusting someone who was both is just flat-out malicious.

I don't doubt that the numbers say that. If you greatly restrict access to hospitals and doctor's offices, then people aren't going to get diagnosed with stuff, especially things which don't have obvious immediate symptoms like cancer, heart disease, diabetes, etc.

Nobody likes abortion, even when safe and legal. It’s not what any woman would choose for a happy time on Saturday night.

Then why did Saturday Night Live have someone dress up like a clown to talk about how abortions need to be easier to get? And why did Colbert (I think) have the "everyone needs to get an abortion!" singers on? And how many other times?

Not worth reading beyond the first two sentences.

As the men were catching up, Wayans referenced how Valentine’s great grandfather sexually assaulted his great grandmother. The 49-year-old jokingly said, “So your great-grandpa raped my great-grandma.” He added while looking at Valentine, “How you feel about that? How you feel about that, cousin? Cousin on the rape side.”

"How do I feel about that? I feel that you bringing up something that happened centuries ago, done by people neither of us have ever known, and using it to try to shame me proves you're barely worth the air you breathe"
