That’s why I’m considering living in Vietnam instead of bringing my wife to the USA. The US currently has some good places left, but they’re not next to high-paying jobs (not counting anything that takes a lot of school or experience). If that’s not the case, then it’s freezing ass cold a huge portion of the year. That weather causes me to have shortness of breath, and I’d hate dealing with that. I also know next to nothing about dealing with snow.
The rate of domestic violence among lesbian couples is ridiculously high. I think straight women are equally or nearly as violent except they’re up against someone longer and stronger than them. There is also a code of silence among men and code of not hitting women. A lot of their attempts at violence are disregarded or ineffective.

Even racism is bullshit. I have been seeing a lot of content here that would get called racist. It got me thinking about how it’s not all white men here, even if we are the majority. Then I realized that the use of the term racism has us in this all or nothing mentality where if you point out the terrible patterns of racial groups, then you hate all people in that group and can’t see any exceptions. You don’t need to ignore the group patterns to receive people of a different group. You can do both.
When a word was first used, probably by a Jew, isn’t as important as when it became a part of the popular vernacular. Racism went from practically no usage in the USA to an explosion in usage in the 1960s. Prior to this there was some talk about “racialism,” but I don’t know what people were saying.
