They literally think calling us things like Snowflake and talking about "Triggering" us works. After all, it works on them, so why not us?

Who also had no issue with using the Force "Thread that binds all things" to mind fuck someone visiting their flammable rock base to try to convince him to leave.

But remember: They are the good guys and it is the Jedi who are evil.

The normies in the UK though? They're going to virtue signal themselves to death.

It was something that Andrew Klavan was noticing when he lived in London even in the 1990's, and he has talked about it frequently. That he would have British people always talking to him about how Americans are too brash and uncouth, but then he noticed that they would roll over for practically every situation seemingly for no other reason than they dont want to make a fuss (as that would be "uncivilized"). So he has been saying he saw this coming for a while.

Basically you're going to piss off the Irish who are already burning shit down and they'll start burning and bombing shit in England.

Worse than that, we are already starting to see evidence that the Republicans and Unionist have been making truces in the name of "Fuck Keir Starmer" and "Auslander Raus". So it is something they should be very concerned with IMO.

Sturgill Simpson is another modern one I like. In addition to more traditional country sound, he also had an album he made called "Sound and Fury", which he came up with while high on painkillers and in addition to a very unique sound he worked with an anime studio in Japan to create a whole "animated album" for the songs.

Here is an example of my favorite one off of the album.

Other than that, I have mostly drifted into metal, most modern country I pick and chose by the song while still liking the older 90's stuff, and beyond that say Alan Jackson is still right.

You just going to gloss over the fact that the main villains are all the 7 deadly sins, and their ultimate evil wants to become a god?

Can confirm. We got a bat in our old farmhouse when I was a kid. We propped open the door, started shooing at it with brooms and sticks, and the bat was smart enough to take the hint and fly out the open door.

The only other thing that smart was the coyote pack we had in our area, which very quickly learned exactly how far my dads shotgun could reach and would not get any closer than that.

It was less them shooting the parade and more them shooting each other and having typical gang banger accuracy (the reason was even stupider, with it being a fight over a woman). But at the same time, it is also worth pointing out that it was another case of proving that people who have high trust can get along, because they were almost immediately tackled by the crowd and they didnt manage to get away.

And again, going there frequently, that was very much an anomaly. Generally it is only if you are in the East Side in Independence that you have to worry about things. Again, Downtown (which is where all of the stuff you actually want to see is) is fairly safe.

We are still going fine out here on the Great Plains. I go to Kansas City pretty frequently for day-cations, and while it has a local reputation that is mostly because it is bad by local standards. Downtown KC is still easily walkable, well policed, clean, and even at night is still relatively safe. There are also still plenty of well-paying manufacturing jobs around here, so it is possible to make a living.

But back to vtubing in general, in terms of models and such, getting one of those 'general use' ones just to see how you feel about streaming before commissioning your own model goes a long way, but I'm sure you probably have already done most of that research

Yeah, this is very much just a "Fun idea to make some side money doing something I was already doing anyway by playing games on the weekends." (since I have a full-time manufacturing job and am too beat after work to really do any long-term stream). There is still a lot of me doing the research and looking into how it would work or what I would need to pull it off.

It was mostly just an inspiration on the grounds that 1) I have seen some people say there is a niche in the strategy game market that not a lot of Vtubers have covered, which is my favorite genre of game. And 2) It was just a fun idea of "Aggressively American, Teddy Roosevelt but as an actual bear man" sort of character that I had in my head.

It would still probably be something I would not seriously start looking into until next year at the absolute earliest.

Also, sometimes it is more fun to just play a character instead of yourself. I have considered taking up VTubing as a side way to make money, and while the personality would just be my normal one played up a bit, it is still would be playing it up.

Bob is trying to backpedel his way out of the mess he has made after the stock is tanking, investors dont trust him anymore, and he is actually starting to face hard questions about what he is doing (the last earnings call, a lot of formerly friendly investors started asking him why all of their movies were bombing).

They also say it is catering to red states because it was filmed in Oklahoma with a lot of the supporting cast being Oklahomans.

Ignoring that the director had to fight the studio tooth and nail because they wanted it to be filmed in Atlanta.

Also, she doesn't have an encrypted message app on her work phone... which is actually where you would WANT security.

Ah, but you see, that one is vulnerable to subpoena and FOIA request, which are much harder to do for her personal phone. So gotta do everything on the private phone so that you dont have to worry about answer..."unfortunate" questions. Questions like "Are you actually accountable for your failures?"

Here is the link to all of the D-Files that they have released so far. IIRC, the 3rd episode is the one where they talk about how they replaced artist with Tumblr artist who did not know how to do anything than copy other peoples art.

12
TheModernDaVinci 12 points ago +12 / -0

I would like to point out that one of the Disney Animation whistleblowers who talked to Film Threat for the D-Files said that the person in charge of Disney Animation (Jennifer Lee) said she deliberately picked artist off of Tumblr and Reddit on the grounds that their accounts on those websites already had a file of their works that could be easily browsed.

Said artist were just as "good" at their job as you expect, by the by.

They don't care. The next generation is growing up on this stuff and so long as they rope people into accepting it, they literally don't care about how much they lose in the interim. Sadly, it is working.

It really isnt. The overwhelming evidence is that the current generation is going back to older media and not engaging with this current stuff made "for them". Stuff like Friends, MASH, Seinfeld, all of it is taking off, and Gen Z is treating the 90's like a lot of Millennials treated the 80's. All of this current media is just going to be a cultural black hole that will be forgotten like others in history, especially as companies begin moving back to making things because it will make them a profit (which we are already seeing).

She was good it was her exit which was bad as it was heavily implied on the way out that she threw shade on Ironmouse not Froot for 'not having her back' and basically burned that bridge on the way out.

That is fair, I do agree it was odd to take a shot at Mouse when it seemed like she didnt really do much. But she seems to have just moved on and is not dwelling on it (for better or worse) so I dont really feel the need to focus on it.

I think Silver is still pretty good, but I can absolutely admit she is one of those "love them or hate them" types even before the Hogwarts situation. But I think her continued success on her own even after that was a good sign for the state of the culture war overall (even if she is not really an active member in it).

Yeah, they have already said the US Branch basically only exist to give them an easier means of personnel being able to travel, and to allow them an easier route to buy warehouse space for the purpose of merch sales. It is not going to do much else.

As long as Holo keeps the "Absolutely no politics" policy in place, where it can be a fireable offense to bring up stuff on stream, they will be fine. And besides, the handful of talents they have that push that line have tended more toward the based side than the woke side (ironically enough).

I am cautiously optimistic about Clans. I have no doubt the gameplay will be similar to Mercenaries, but I am interested in what they are planning with the story. Considering that you are playing as Smoke Jaguar, who are supposed to be the "designated bad guy" of the clans.

Recently started in on Ghost of Tsushima and have been having a blast. It is amazing what happens when people actually stick to the vision they had of a game and seeks to have both good gameplay and story.

Other than that, I have mostly been hopping around between a railroad management sim called Railroader (set on a short line in the Carolina's/Tennessee in the transition between diesel and steam era) which will probably eat all of my railroad itch until the seemingly better Century of Steam drops. For more chill games, I have been playing Victoria 3 and continue to have an absolute blast. And am looking forward to the update dropping next week.

It really does seem like this is the one topic that breaks peoples minds and makes them stop thinking rationally. I had been pretty active on PoliticalCompassMemes on Reddit, and they had the topic come up due to that bill Japan was looking at (that was DOA because it barely had any signatures). And when most of the sub said "It is good it wont pass, this is a stupid thing that people keep focusing on needlessly", a few users and the mods lost their fucking minds, declared that the sub had clearly been overrun by "pedophiles", and started throwing around permabans left, right, and center (lead by a mod tagged as "Libertarian Right". Hah!).

This despite the fact that people had argued in favor of far more controversial topics frequently in the sub. It is just so bizarre to me.

Seconded. Even after the chants of "lock her up", he looked the other way with Hillary thinking it would come off to the establishment as him being willing to play ball and cut back on some of the most out there part of his rhetoric. They repaid him with ceaseless witch hunts, wailing and gnashing of teeth, unprecedented bureaucratic overreach, and the tearing down of every last institution just to get him.

That naivety is gone now. And all evidence points to him wanting to be the king sitting on his throne, sending to the headsman all who participated in the coup against him and didnt turn around to come grovel and kiss the ring (as many are already doing). It is also why I think you see so many of the establishment starting to either throw themselves before him or making plans to flee the country, as it becomes increasingly apparent they cant stop him.
