Looks like I finally have the excuse I need to read past the first chapter. The immeasurable evil on display in the first chapter alone was enough to ward me off from reading the rest it (no spoilers from me for any potential book club readers seeing this).
Now we get to suffer learn together.
Ninja edit: if this is a duplicate notification, sorry about that, WIN is giving me issues.
Nintendo of America has been converged for some time now, getting worse once Reggie "My body is ready" Fils-Aimé retired (ex: the Nintendo of America twitter post about Biden in Animal Crossing happened after he left). On the other hand, Nintendo of Japan has started yanking their leash in the mean time. Whether that will amount to anything, time will tell.
But overall, Nintendo, at least in more recent years, is mainly shitty for non-woke reasons, including:
-
Hyper aggressive (bordering on malicious) copyright enforcement, even in instances where it wasn't truly necessary (ie cracking down on online Smash tournaments knowing in person events were impossible at the time)
-
Charging for an online service that is somehow inferior to their previously free iterations (Wii, WiiU, 3DS), as well as the netcode for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate being an infamous example of Nintendo's continued ignoring of major problems
-
Setting an ominous precedent with how they handled Super Mario 3D All Stars (fun fact: they sold and got rid of an officially licensed English translation of the original Fire Emblem for Famicom in the exact same time frame)
-
The intentionally slow pace at which they are addressing Joycon drift (the Switch Lite has those same faulty Joycons hardwired in, making it that much more likely for the entire system to become part of a landfill in the long run.)
-
There are instances where Nintendo would DMCA a fan made game, only to release something just like it a bit later. That is how Super Mario Maker came about, as well as their remake of Metroid 2 (RIP AM2R). Contrast that with Sega, who when put in the same situation, either leave them alone, or go as far as to take them under their umbrella , which is how we got Sonic Mania.
Sega does what Nintendon't! /s
All of this is just off the top of my head, and I'm sure I'm still missing quite alot considering how long all of this has been going on.
A lot of Rage Against The Machine songs, despite their obvious leftist leanings, could be used as right wing with only minor tweaks (if at all). Same applies to Audioslave, which is basically RATM with the singer changed out.
It's gone. This is why we archive!
Sorry, he didn't.

Well... There was that one time when an Israeli flag got to the front page of r/T_D and the mods went on a ban wave against anyone in that comments section who pointed out that the sub was supposed to be "America First" . This was either before the 2016 election or just after, I don't quite remember when.
His twitter is back, but it has 0 followers.
Sony! I knew I was forgetting a company or 2. Will edit that in right now.
There are still plenty of good new games. They're just being made by small to mid sized studios IMHO, not the corporate behemoths.
I can only play so many spiritual successors before I realize that I want the real thing. RedOut is speedy zero G fun reminiscent of F Zero and WipeOut, Bug Fables hits the right charm points of the first two Paper Mario games while managing to be its own thing, Freedom Planet is an homage to Sonic that adds combat mechanics, 20XX is what Mighty Number 9 tried to be and failed, and the Bullet Hell genre was inspired by the scrolling shmups of old. These are all good games, but in the end leave me craving for more of what inspired those games in the first place, the real deal if you will.
Gamefreak and the Pokémon Company also deserve their own post just on account of how short of a time it took for them to go borderline EA with regard to DLC practices as soon as Nintendo made a network infrastructure capable of handling DLC and subsequently kill a large chunk of good faith from fans (definitely did for me, with the whole lying about fitting the Pokédex fiasco). However, I only have so much energy and this OP was a result of a 3AM frenzy.
Overall, I agree.
Use their own rule book against them. In accordance with Saul Alinsky's Rules for Radicals, do to them as they would do to you. Do not reason with them, do not negotiate with them, do not concede ground under any circumstance, any attempt at empathy will be taken for weakness and exploited accordingly.
If you have any hesitations, just know that the difference between you and the left is that you would stop, draw the line, and rest after succeeding in driving them away, whereas the left would keep marching on toward collective psychosis (and worse) in spite of increasing friendly fire.
Razorfist puts down the character to deliver a rather somber (later seething) video on wtf has been happening with the elections, as well as the deeper implications that will result from all this.
This being an actual line in an MSM article in 3...2...1...
There is a reason George Orwell's 1984 was set in England. I have come to the conclusion that somehow, Orwell knew all those years ago that the peoples of England were predisposed to bowing down to authoritarian systems such as those described in his books (see also; Animal Farm), as well as the parallels to subsequent communist regimes that would rise in the years after his death.
Can someone tell me how a Russian (Chechen?) got into a political office in Scotland of all places?
Edit: I'm dumb. He's Pakistani, and I took the editorialized title as literal.
IMO, the only thing stopping such a hypothetical militia is the sheer size of the state, and the location of Sacramento relative to everywhere else. Let's say it was planned out in San Diego (again, hypothetically), you are looking at potentially a 10 hour drive when taking account of traffic on the way there, with the possibility of even longer if you wanted to coordinate a caravan a la recent Trump rallies. The distance, gas used, and gas prices (being the most expensive in the nation on average by an entire dollar) are enough to deter even the most constitutional oriented patriot unfortunate enough to still be living there.

Thank you for the correction.
Ninja edit: I actually welcome well needed corrections like this. Being submerged in how left wing politics operate for long periods of time as I have means that a few things are mixed up with eachother just on account of how batshit insane the individuals involved are.
If you think I didn't enforce them, it's likely because I missed them.
I ask again, for months on end until this very week? I just don't buy that for a second.
The issue is not about the subject about you having a problem with women.
Surely you of all people should know by now that pointing out a harsh truth about a "protected" demographic does not mean one hates it.
The issue is about declaring an entire gender to be your enemy.
You mean as the Radical Femenists (who, by this point, are the mainstream, no longer a fringe) have done so publicly and gleefully w/o punishment by anybody going as far back as 1967 with the publishing of the SCUM Manifesto by Valerie Solanas? (Edit2: slight correction) Or how about an essay titled "The Future - If There Is One- Is Female" which advocates genociding 90% of all men on Earth, leaving the surviving 10% as slaves for the sole purpose of breeding? Or how about the various Kill All Men hashtags that have trended to varying degrees by these same feminists going back to 2014 without a single removal by the platform?
You'll notice I haven't done anything about 'should women be allowed to vote'.
That just makes your moderation inconsistent. Either allow all discussion or none at all.
That's still an ideological frame work to go off of.
So you say, yet look at where we are today. No idea as to what triggers a response or what doesn't from moderation.
Women as an enemy demographic conspiring to murder all men is pretty fucking bonkers.
See above. The proof is there, and while it isn't all women advocating the teachings of the SCUM Manifesto, most women will definitely look the other way while radicals carry out their dastardly deeds. There is a reason why women in ancient times embraced their conquerors after they had got done killing all their men.
There has to be a line somewhere for the sake of basic decorum.
Tell that to the feminists.
EDIT: And for a final point that caused me to flee from KIA1 in the first place. Feminists, BLM, and Antifa are all part of the same rotting left wing, and they all occupy Academia, Media (all media, not just video games as we would find out), Hollywood, and an entire US political party. They have declared ideological war on all that don't fall lockstep with their ever changing doctrine, a war that as of last month (Portland, OR shooting) has turned hot. The mod team of KIA1 refused/ignored/hid from this inevitable conclusion, and it cost them their sub.
I find it rather suspicious that you only now within the last week started enforcing these rules (which at first glance, makes it look like you made it up on the spot) when he and several other posters have posts just like this going back many many months no issue, because it was part of a wider discussion that frankly needs to be had. If we aren't allowed to talk about it because the subject has a pussy, what was the point of making a KIA2 Win in the first place if you enforce reddit's bullshit regardless?
the right was anti-free-speech, anti video games, anti, with overreaching anti terrorism acts.
The main figures of the 1990s video game violence hysteria were Al Gore, his wife Tipper Gore (see also: heavy metal and her spat with Dee Snider), Hillary Clinton, and Joe Biden back when his brain was worth something; all of them democrats. I find it painful that this particular part of video game history has successfully managed to be rewritten to paint evangelical conservatives as the main villains of this saga as opposed to being secondary factions (ie. Jack Thompson and Pat Robertson weren't as successful in their efforts as they were made out to be).
Also, the USA PATRIOT Act which you were inferring to was passed with universal bipartisanship (only 1 person out of 100 in the entire US Senate voted no), similarly with the National Defense Authorization Act of 2014 passed under Obama (all 100 voted yes to its initial form, amendments to it passed 84-15).

I've been going on an emulation spree because even before recent political events forced me to focus more on the home front so to speak, I've come to believe (with regard to gaming) that the only way forward is back. NES, SNES, Sega Genesis, Sega Saturn, Sega Master System, Playstation 1 & 2, Commodore 64/128, Commodore Amiga, DOS-era games, even Flash games (because lets face it, the vast majority of games on Android and iOS were done better and for free on Flash).
"Memory Holed", a term borrowed from the George Orwell novel 1984, refers to the entire media collectively dropping a story if it goes against the narrative they are trying to push. In this case, the narrative they tried to push before the guy's race was revealed (black) was that of "white supremacists killing people" or something along those lines.
