I think it could be saved but I also think that they intentionally drove cable into the ground. One could make an argument that the tracking and analytics received from online streaming these channels via YouTubeTV, Fubo etc are more valuable to them than traditional cable. This is because of the detailed data mining done on their own ecosystems. There has to be something more to it Scully!. Takes off tin foil hat.
One could make an argument for similarities to the Nixon v Kennedy debate in the way it may have forever altered how politicians run their campaigns.

I don't like trading that for the promises of AI. I've come to the same conclusion and AI just spells more data mining and monitoring of everything you do with an AI equipped program or hardware.
Will there be any just browsers left in another 10 years? Same question for any software on a computer. Or is everything going to have AI shoved into it in some form or another.
I remember when there was that big pro-vaccine push on reddit years back before Covid started. They would often have posts about how dumb anti-vaxxers were and look at me posts about people who just got vaccinated. I was skeptical of it back then and given the MO of the powers that be I wouldn't be surprised if vaccines do indeed cause autism.
I'm sure you could make an argument that some don't but the number of vaccines given has inflated over the years to the point of absurdity. I for one am happy with my choices regarding vaccines and it seems that position is vindicated more and more as time goes by. I'm almost at the point where I feel that all vaccines are bogus in some form or another.

They are dying. Their cultural force is losing its oomph so they are trying to claw back some power. I personally don't believe they've stolen anything. They are just trying to dirty the terms. It only works if you let them and take the weaker position of just giving them these terms.
Maybe there's a psychological aspect to language that humans evolved with that allows this to work
From my research there is actually some evidence that speaking prayers in Latin elicits similar effects as doing breathework (Pranayama) does. The words and their cadence can connect you with the divine. And this is all related to how you are breathing when reciting in Latin. The power of the human breathe is really fascinating to study. James Nestor wrote a book called Breath and it is a good introduction into the power of conscious breathing.
But are they all the same Mass if they are all in different languages? The Latin Mass gives the Church a unifying feature that no matter where in the world you are you will hear the same.

Someone should tweet at Elon he should buy SyFy and rebrand it back to SciFi and make good SciFi shows and movies again. It has a good back catalogue I'd imagine so you could roll it into a dedicated SciFi series. I think this would be important because it would help inspire the younger generation with good SciFi stories that aren't fantasy based nonsense. Elon has said we need more engineers and cultural propaganda is important in the creation of them.
