I live in a boring but affordable small coastal town. In 2025 house prices increased by 25% on top of the already insane increases driven by immigration numbers and people fleeing the cities. I was looking at more remote towns, sussing out whether I can find a job in the same places I can now afford to buy... I cannot. Like, I already knew that but I got to see the job listings match the job creation statistics for myself.
I was browsing job listings last night and the only industries recruiting other than mining are government funded like health, education and 'not for profits'. Insanely depressing.
YouTube removed the "sort by upload date" option when you search for a topic. It's practically useless now. I search using yewtu.be even if the videos don't work 80% of the time. The old school style YouTube layout is way better.
There is a male with white skin who is the president of a planet that is falling behind technologically because he is an isolationist that built a giant wall. Fortunately, with the encouragement of their teachers, youth activists convince him to change his ways. I should add that the character is deaf. There are two deaf actors in this show. I haven't spotted a wheelchair yet like in Discovery.
Yeah it is spoilerish I'm sorry about that. I watched the second episode today... they referenced Trump's wall in the most subtle way only a leftist script writer could manage. I think you watch it haha
That is the only straight white male from what I've seen but here's the fun part, there's a reveal that he's actually a blue alien disguised as a white male. There's also no white women. The whitish women are all Jewish. There was a fat lesbian on the deck in one scene - she could be white but she only spoke once.
The series is so bad but I had to keep watching. I howled with laughter when the only white male (who was also the bully to start with) just happened to be an alien lizard in a skin suit. His transformation scene was also the shittiest CGI I've seen in a while.
Oh and the wicked witch style green face painted students at the end. Is it a parody? I'm treating everything as a parody now, far more entertaining.
The Klingon teacher is great. I would have enjoyed her in the better seasons of modern dr who.
