There's a lawsuit over automatic denials. It's UHC, of course. But, the lawsuit goea for fraud making the case that selling insurance with the intention of auto denying claims is fraud. I hope it wins.
How exactly are sex offender children going to school?
“I scrubbed my social media timelines just in case I posted something that could get me in trouble,” the Godot Foundation’s Coppola told Ars of his preparations for the show.
Seriously?
The Grievance Studies.
This looks like an end of the world movie.
Bee tv has that. I click stupid movies, and the Netflix N comes on screen. I have an app that sorts by channel, and I never use it.
Who is going to ruin the old IP more was the real question.
My kids just call it pay to win.
Ty for the reply. Makes sense.
Those kids are having kids, and teaching them to be just like that. The kids with parents how I was raised don't stand a chance. Everyone on my street had GPK, but only half the parents bought them. We just shared, and traded them.
When my kids were kids, I noticed some of their friends never opened toys. How boring.
Those capsule games are forever ruined for me. When my kids were little there was one at the laundry mat that let you keep going until you won a stuffie flower. Then you go places where they're intentionally broken, or programed for no one to win anything until a specific amount of money has been put into the machine. There are no odds better than wtf am I going to do with all these flowers ?!
That's back when we used to fuck the cards up, and not sell them. I intentionally stayed off the newer entirely too many release cards. MTG is an entirely different game than when I was in high school. Having no desire to study a fucking game, I just remember it fondly.
The cards hold value, because it has resale value.
Remember Little Big Planet? That game allowed you to give anyone everything you had, and you got to keep it. It was anti monitezation. That game was bought just to put an end to that practice.
Bingo up by me, you pay to get in. There are prizes, yes. But, you don't have to take the prizes. Some people take it very seriously.
But, for digital games my point was that the same game can be played both ways.
Today everything gets sold. Even kids think to sell things first these days. Garbage Pail Kids were just shared in my neighborhood. All the trendy toys end up in drama threads, and I have no idea wtf the item is. It's always one set of parents think the kids should just have fun with the toy, and the other set of parents know the value of the trendy toy so they want their kid to end up with the expensive one so they can sell it.
They're teaching the kid to be materialistic, which only helps sell loot boxes.
But, the games I play do so many free chances, and then you have to pay for more chances. So, my grandma could play it and not gamble, but my kids would absolutely be gambling when they played the exact same game.
But, the point I want to make clear is I don't believe they give any fucks about the gambling. I think they're mad about the taxes being different for gambling.
I agree with everything you just said. So, that means enshitification caused things to become gambling that didn't used to be gambling? Or, depending on the person who is purchasing intended purpose?
I think loot boxes are gambling. That makes games loot boxes in less fun for me.
I believe the answer to that is no money, not gambling. Even if you pay for a pool table, you're paying for the allotted time to play. Not gambling.
I'm curious because my grandma won't even play bingo, she thinks its gambling. I dont agree with her, but she will point you to the Bible verses.
Poker can be played with no money. Poker is a game that can be used to gamble.
Honest question. Were card packs always gambling, or were they just random? Because Garbage Pail Kids were something I remember being able to have all of them with extra to trade. Did the odds get so bad, that NOW trading cards are gambling?
Were card packs always gambling? I remember Garbage Pail Kids being random. But, I never thought of those as gambling.
They don't care that it's addictive like gambling, they care it's not taxed like gambling.
I usually listen to earbuds when I'm out and about. I think more people should root their devices so they can turn the permissions off.
I get what you're describing. It sounds like how we treat soldiers, so I agree its humane. But, the difference between 1000 trips, and one gigantic trip seems more efficient to my mind. I even thought about if they get off, they'd be some other places problem because getting off would mean they wouldn't be eligible to try to reenter the correct way. Most of the people being deported are being told to either apply again, or wait a specific amount of time before they are eligible to apply legally.
The one's not eligible for reentry are the one the article posted yesterday about the US sending them to other countries was about. We won't make them go home if any other country is willing to take them. They're just getting mad the only countries willing to take them have been very few African countries.
I read the comment of someone who uses cameras for a living. They were explaining how to buy the cheap laser, and mod it to do the damage the $1500 laser does. But, really I want a phone case with a green laser attached. I'm creeped out about them being programmed to zoom in on cell phone screens. Especially with how often hacks of that platform are live streamed.
No, it's Medicaid supplemental insurance. But, it's going to be a precedent setting case.
