The US romantic movies/romcoms are so cringe because a story that in the 90s or 00s would have focused on a good looking guy and girl in their 20s is now centered around 40-somes with crows feet. That no romcoms with Kristen Bell comes to mind. Yeah, she's cute but she's twenty years past being ripe and that fact that there is such a big contingent of perennial daters in their 40s that the show justifies it's budget and existence is fucking sad.

Honestly, the caliber of arguments and word smithing here (in this forum) is awesome. I love reading comments like yours where you perfectly break something down.
I'll disagree.
Adherence to faith doesn't always feel good. In fact, sometimes it outright sucks. Especially when you are tempted to do something that most definitely would feel good and you don't because of that very adherence to moral doctrine (don't commit adultery, don't kill, etc).
My point is that religion is something at least some people do not because it feels good because they know deep down it is good regardless of how it feels, much like eating healthy food or exercising.
TLDR; it's bad because it makes a black guy look like a pussy who gets beat up by a popular white guy.

And ordinarily I would agree. If someone was 75% white and 25% asian I'd say they were white. Or viceversa. But black I treat differently. I guess there's the reason why they had the "one drop rule". Blacks, phenotypically, just are so different from every other group. Their skin, their hair, their nose, their voice, their facial structure, their proclivities.
They also don't usually blend well with any other race.
White and Japanese, good.
White and Hispanic, good.
Hispanic and Arab, good.
But anything and black just seems to be black, and the kids always associates with their black side way more.
