Did he only just notice the Washington Post is mostly staffed by communists who think most of the Bill of Rights was a mistake? What prompted him to do this now if he had those values since he bought it?

And isn't this only about the opinion section?

WaPo is Mockingbird Media central and that damn sure won't change.

I think this is a good thing. I don't trust him, but it is a signal for others to follow suit.

Honestly, I think so many people, even billionaires, are so accustomed to matrix they don't realize they're in it. While a portion of me thinks how the fuck could he not know, remember they are also insulated by hundreds of normies and sycophants that assure him everything is normal and nothing is awry.

Making money, play their way to make the most back then, play this way to make the most now.

Here's my peasant take.

Rich dudes buy newspapers to manufacture outcomes they want. Elections, policies, image PR, and smearing rivals.

The WAPO failed to get him what he wanted in 2024 election cycle.

Therefore, Bezos is making changes so he can get what he wants in 2026.

He said in his statement about not-endorsing Kamala that WaPo had to change because they didn't have influence anymore.

Bezos is going to lose like 90% of his communist staff.

I hope so.

I don't understand these types of moves. Obviously, Bezos doesn't need Trump in office to make changes like this if he wanted to. So why now? I would expect deep state aligned entities to just bunker down and wait Trump out. Is the deep state mechanism really so fragile that a few EOs can shake the whole machine apart? Are moves like this part of a "take the foot off the peddle" initiative and the machine is doing just fine?

It's genuinely bizarre and unsettling to see these vague overtures to sanity, rather than just shutting up for four years.

It's not that complicated. Amazon will likely benefit from deregulation.

ETA: And H1B and similar migrants, can't forget that

I buy the migrant angle.

Take Dodge saying that V8s aren't a bad word anymore. Expanding production lines like that isn't something you can spin up and back down in four years and culture doesn't change on a dime. I don't see the long term gain for some of these moves. Which, admittedly, assumes they are looking long term.

Its because trump is part of the whole realignment to focus on false solutions like "free market" and "individualism" that will reengage disaffected people like yourself and others that have become too agitated over the in your face wokism. Right now, tons of upset and withdrawn people, mostly core national white workers, are gladly signing up for the military, supporting the police again, and excited to believe that america is back.

Its all a curated pressure release valve from the degenerate abuse that's been heaped on the public for years.

So degenerate sexual fetishes and replacement migration?

Translation : the ''personal liberties'' of federal government employees to not get fired by Trump, to troon-out children, and the free market priority of opposing Trump's tarifs.

Basically. Although I'm sure amazon is benefitting from the trump tariffs as well.

I actively distrust Bezos, but I highly doubt Amazon would be benefitting from tariffs. Most of the crap Amazon sells are globalist knockoffs from India, China, and other shit holes. Amazon even actively prioritizes these garbage products to appear on the top for search results. It's one of the primary reasons I stopped buying anything from Amazon, whereas before I used it for product research. Unless there's some loopholes in the tariffs (a real possibility), Amazon and most other globohomo corporations aren't benefitting from tariffs.

Amazon will just shift to the next cheapest option same as everyone else.

Also, most of these mega companies usually endorse regulation via lobbying, just regulations advantageous to them. They have lawyer teams to find ways to either avoid it or have written it to benefit themselves. Amazon is basically bigger than most governments at this point.

Yep. Pretty much how all the Covid "lockdowns" went. All the small stores were closed down, but the big stores remained open, which is the exact opposite you'd want to do to "stop the spread".

The propaganda will be changing, but I still can't decide if this will be a good thing or just another well disguised knife.

Well disguised knife. This guy doesn’t want to pay a tariff on every shipping container full of Chinesium. He’s full of shit about those pillars. Amazon wanted lockdowns in Covid. They banned Parler from using AWS. These assholes just sway in the breeze.

If a man is corrupt and a liar, but feigns a change of heart, without describing the impetus or reason for it, if he doesn't repent (actually change his mind on the subject, and reject his previous stance), then he should not be trusted, as he never really changed.
