It wouldn't take them or the sites down necessarily, the point is that Cloudflare only needs x servers per site/customer dedicated to fending off attacks because most of them are paying for the protection but not likely to need it. A right-wing protection provider would have more customers that could attract attacks, so if they don't have other customers to balance that out then they'll need 2x, 3x, 4x, or more servers per customer. More than that if they themselves attract DDOSes for being known as specializing in catering to the target group. All those extra servers will eat into their profit margins and raise the prices for customers, which would fall entirely on their right-wing base (potentially the DDOSers' goal) if they don't diversify their customers to some extent.

A company with such a specific user base would be a prime target for endless DDOS campaigns, the cost of which would be borne entirely by its right-wing user base. You'd really want such an enterprise to have a (at least somewhat) wide variety of customers so that sort of targeting is ineffective.

Or to be sneaky, offer a lower tier of services to left-wing groups with some vapid DEI advertising or something and then use them as the whipping boy and/or slush fund to help provide a higher tier of protection to your core audience.

Keep fighting the good fight!

Constructive criticism if you're ever posting something like that in a non echo chamber sub: include an undisputable example when you make a claim like that so the handful of non-brainwashed readers can't dismiss everything you say out of hand. Like a video of an unarmed person beating an officer to death. I also saw a video on Donut Operator's YT channel recently where a guy claimed he had a skin condition to try to get his arms cuffed in front of himself rather than behind, then he managed to get them in front anyway while in the back of a police car and grabbed a gun hidden in his underwear and shot an officer. Lots of Reddit casuals can't even imagine how common it is for "I can't breeeeaathe" or "you're hurting me, I have a conditiooooon" to be a lie by someone who wants an opportunity to escape and/or kill the police.

It'd be nice to see this compared to previous years. Is this part of a years-long trend, or a recent development that can be tied to something recent?

I will never pay for mainstream media products ever again from any company that puts disgusting, virulently anti-white fucks like these on a pedestal in their shows. I'm so sick of it all. If I'm reduced to watching nothing but teenage-male-pandering anime and the occasional piracy for the rest of my life, so be it.

I mostly agree with you, but there are some things you can't just ignore- the sustained social presence and advertising of a prominent movie or TV show in particular has an affect on your psyche that always gets undervalued in these sorts of discussions. It's mentally taxing to boycott a product like Disney shows because they'll use their media dominance to constantly rub it in your face- your friends talk about the shows, you see articles and advertising about them online, and you'll miss out on cultural references for the rest of your life.

As long as you're not depriving someone else of something, I'd prefer to think of it as simply fixing the discomfort they're causing you by dangling a treat in front of you even though you know it's poisonous and can't touch it. I agree that it's still morally objectionable and almost never do it myself, though, nor would I consider it for anything that you really could just ignore.

Being responsible for raising your child (or at least paying for it) is much, much harder and closer to actual slavery, but none of these abortionists bat an eye about that.

That'd just be fucking retarded. Cut Russia off from the internet? In addition to being an exercise of a theoretical power that shouldn't even exist, that'd give them an excuse to go make its own nationwide intranet, then they can have complete control over information just like China. It might even encourage them to join networks with China and their Central Asian stooges to make an alternate internet Cold War-style, ensuring billions never see an inkling of Western influence or thought again.

TBH if I was Putin and a bunch of American multinational corporations said they would pull out of the country if I invaded somewhere, I'd see getting their hostile foreign influence out of my country as a win-win situation, let alone having an excuse to permanently block all foreign online dissent.

To be fair Russia is fairly unique in that its state-controlled news media has a significant presence in direct non-Russian-language broadcasts, regardless of whether it's actually being used for propaganda. RT is one of the foreign news outlets I see the most of, other than British ones. I could probably go find some news media from North Korea, Iran, or even China, but I've never naturally encountered it (other than the South China Morning Post, a Hong Kong paper that China recently co-opted to push more propaganda).
