Cloudflare is the only company that provides DDOS protection services for small websites while everything else is inferior as well as hyperinflated due to being targeted at major companies.
We need a company to provide DDOS protection services that will serve us and only us while being content neutral in terms of profiction site policies.
Without an alt-tech payment provider such a company would not be sustainable. And even then Visa, Mastercard, and the rest of that cabal would probably blacklist them. And the government would probably attack the payment provider as well, likely with encouragement from existing competitors (e.g. PayPal).
The leftists understood that all of these things are heavily interconnected, and they played the long game to infiltrate them. I’m not convinced that working within the existing system is the best way to go about this, but if it is, I think having a payment provider in place is a critical first step.
This is workable. But getting enough revenue for it to work means throwing in with the only other thought-crime group that consistently gets thrown off payment processors.
You'd have to build an entire hardware loadout the way Gab did as well as make sure 100% of your employees, their families, and 100% of the employees/families/customers of every single company you deal with are all completely immune to antifa doxxing/stalking/harassment campaigns.
Cloudflare's stance didn't save it from the Italian Government's telecom regulator who promptly blocked its services and therefore websites on February 24th using them through its Piracy Shield to which all ISPs and VPNs must obey by law (it's why AirVPN no longer serve Italian residents).
You'd need to be hosted in a friendly country and you'll struggle when every country in the world wants to move to a system where they have digital border controls for Internet data going in and out of their country and a regulated national Intranet for residents.
Has anyone asked Josh if he rents/sells Kiwiflare service?
He is using a script, he will likely suggest people use IT.
Use IT?
The script
Oh, "it" not "IT".
There's an economy of scale here that's just not viable to replicate independently. Also there are suspicions that cloudflare is funded by intelligence agencies since the accounts don't quite add up and all the traffic they are proxying could easily be spied upon - it's an endrun around normal https.
The DDoS problem is a design flaw in the internet. If you want to combat it in a decentralized way, you'd have to start by designing new routing protocols with filtering on the exit traffic. So say I'm getting spammed from a server in Bangladesh, instead of filtering it on my end, I would ask their Bangladeshi ISP to filter it. You'd have to cover all the situations of spoofed requests and non-compliance and it'd be a whole research project just to work out the logic, let alone implement it.
The design flaw is not the internet, it's the server.
If you have 100 nodes with an IPFS file then they'd have to DDoS 100 networks, some of which may be universities or other places with huge bandwidth. If IPFS were to more often cache slowly downloaded files then the resources would 'route away' from any network attack.
You want to lock up the data/code behind a server, then you have a ddos problem.
What's needed is a reason for people to host their own data. Built it and caches that protect from ddos will appear.
What we really need is some kind of real-life meet up groups for conservatives to discuss current events and politics, because the Internet has become unreliable. Groups kinda like how the Tea Party was.
A company with such a specific user base would be a prime target for endless DDOS campaigns, the cost of which would be borne entirely by its right-wing user base. You'd really want such an enterprise to have a (at least somewhat) wide variety of customers so that sort of targeting is ineffective.
Or to be sneaky, offer a lower tier of services to left-wing groups with some vapid DEI advertising or something and then use them as the whipping boy and/or slush fund to help provide a higher tier of protection to your core audience.
It wouldn't be much of a DDos protection company if you can't handle that.
It wouldn't take them or the sites down necessarily, the point is that Cloudflare only needs x servers per site/customer dedicated to fending off attacks because most of them are paying for the protection but not likely to need it. A right-wing protection provider would have more customers that could attract attacks, so if they don't have other customers to balance that out then they'll need 2x, 3x, 4x, or more servers per customer. More than that if they themselves attract DDOSes for being known as specializing in catering to the target group. All those extra servers will eat into their profit margins and raise the prices for customers, which would fall entirely on their right-wing base (potentially the DDOSers' goal) if they don't diversify their customers to some extent.
This was tried with Vanwanet, Nick Lim's project that kept 8kun online. Let me tell you how that went.
First because a CDN has to have nodes with high bandwidth all around the world, he was forced to kick several websites off because the Russians hate hentai. They told him if he didn't remove those sites from his network, then all of Vanwanet would be blocked in Russia and their Russian datacenter would be confiscated. He complied, because "friends in governments" was more important than clients.
Then the company was subjected to round-the-clock hacking attacks. Not the usual background noise that the internet deals with, but specific, targeted, committed attacks by activists over a long period of time. Eventually they got in, and dumped lists of every clearnet IP and domain that Vanwanet was serving, opening every site up to DDoS attacks again, and they also published the contact information for every domain on the network, doxxing thousands of people.
Then the media attacked, using the leaked list of sites and dox they went after site owners and their families, even calling people's employers to ask for statements about why they were using "alt right" tech platforms. They did this because Vanwa was content neutral, and among all of its other sites it was providing services for 8kun and the daily stormer. They harmed thousands of people to get to maybe five websites they didn't like. Scorched Earth.
What you just described is the reason we need a woke holocaust.
We cannot allow unstable retards to run around and slander people while promoting a retarded terrorist ideology.
I know the location of an empty data center that is strictly speaking off market right now but which could be persuaded to go up for rent quite easily if the right people were reached by the right client.
Of course, as facilities go it's rather overkill for such a project.
