Technically “The Woman King” counts, if you don’t mind an anti-historical lionization of a monstrous evil.

used as tree decorations.

I don't know, I'm not into severed limbs as a neighborhood decorating motif. Sounds unpleasant.

"Dig" still works for pirates, given the buried treasure motif.

LOTR level world building included!

Frieren is good, but there’s no way this isn’t an exaggeration.

I think it’s a useful categorization sometimes. For example, it’s important to remember that J K Rowling is a TERF, so she’s not exactly a friend to conservatives no matter how many based things she says about troons.

If you can't accept that temperatures were different in previous eons, when the day-night cycle and the atmospheric concertation was different, then there's nothing to talk about. If you don't think the different element concentrations and day-night cycle don't effect climate, then there's no reason for me to believe that fossil evidence of tropical conditions would convince you. Ever.

I do believe in this. Which is exactly why I think the "anthropogenic" part is inadequately proven. How the hell are you using "the climate changes drastically over long periods of time throughout the Earth's history" to support the conclusion that any climate change we see must therefore be the work of man?

In respect to the man Imp was, and the logic he employed, I feel we must assume this means he has been compromised by the feminist mafia. A truly tragic event.

Metatron isn’t entirely unknown outside of Judaism, though. Supernatural used him as a character, and I’d be willing to bet the name shows up in at least a dozen JRPGs. I’m not saying you’re necessarily wrong, just that it isn’t a smoking gun.

They keep prior releases available under 'betas' in the properties of the game on steam, and you can roll back to basically any of them. The versions from before EU's GDPR became law don't meet the law's requirement to show you the games privacy policy so they are locked behind a code you can get from paradox where they show you their privacy policy first in order to be compliant. One code per game, and once entered the oldest versions remain available without further effort.

Wow, I was unaware of that. That raises my opinion of them.

Well, maybe. If you talk about Swedes in general, yes, the cuckery is meme-tier (although I think the rest of Europe, and maybe the whole world, has caught up since the heyday of Sweden YES, honestly.)

If you talk specifically about Swedes in video gaming, you get Notch and PewDiePie as the most famous examples, and if anything they both lean slightly right. Paradox itself is more of a mixed bag… the core of their grand strategy titles is usually good, and they allow you to do heinous things or play as villains with no problem. BUT their DLC strategy is too aggressive, and signs of rot have definitely been there. For example, all the human portrait packs in Stellaris have Hollywood-tier multiracial lineups, CKIII and Victoria III are not as good as their predecessors from what I hear, Imperator: Rome was mediocre, etc.

Memes are fine. Screenshots of tweets or headlines or random paragraphs from unidentified sources are the problem.

If dom added the word yasuke to an auto filter we would lose half the daily posts and none of the comments

This is a terrible example of “brigading,” since Yasuke is directly from a video game and is thus arguably the most directly “on topic” subject this board has had for months. It’s such a terrible example that it makes me assume you have no ability to evaluate what is and isn’t a decent post, or maybe that there’s something fundamentally wrong with your ability to see the relationships between certain things.

I agree with you that a lot of ConPro is soul killing, but the solution to that is not to ban every topic that gets discussed there from also being discussed here.

It's actually smaller than that. It's not my job to improve the space. It's your job to improve the space. I'm just the mod. You are supposed to be the pillars of the community.

The single biggest drag down on this forum is the pedo pajeet, which only you can do something about.

I think that really, the whole arc is masterfully written because it's almost sympathetic. Weaved into the flashbacks to his own thinking, and his conversations with other demons (and that plot setup with the Hero of the South) you get an interesting picture of demonkind that shows that they aren't exactly uniformly monstrous sadists, and that by and large they, like humans are also just trying to survive... but as things stand, human survival and demon survival is almost certainly incompatible and you can't let the surface sympathy distract you from the fact that they are utterly alien.

If I remember right, that demon—who turned everyone into statues as you said—is probably the closest thing to “friendly” that we’ve seen from demons in the series. At least there’s some sort of mutual curiosity/respect going on there, on some level. The other demons think he’s weird for even thinking about trying to learn anything from humans at all. So even the guy who’s a massive exception by demon standards will still betray you in the end.

Do you think you’re posting on /The_Donald or something? I would say that the majority of people on this board think Trump has some big flaws but is still better than anyone the Democrats put up. Is that a position with which you disagree?

The head of Twitter at the time didn't really understand the concept because his ideological blinders were so tight he never realized that there was a dispute regarding the definition of gender; which caused them to have an inherent left-wing bias.

I don’t believe that this was a good faith mistake.

You understand that the no golden idols thing is worship, right? It’s not a prohibition on leaders in general.

“I don’t like any of the consequential actions that this group is taking, and the other group doesn’t take those actions… but they do say mean things!”

Wow, what a tough choice.

You can talk all you want about cross cultural ideas and relative genetic closeness and such, but I assure you, the Japanese and the Chinese are distinct and do see each other as distinct. To put it in a different analogy, I wouldn’t expect a story set in the Norman invasion of 1066 to star D’artagnan, and if it did—without a huge part of the plot being devoted to why and how—I’d assume someone fucked up.
