I am female myself and lament the escalating trend of "canceling" of strong men. I was widowed in 2016, and when I finally tried dating again it was shocking how many men I met who seemed to be low in testosterone. And lacking in old fashioned manners.
I am in no way saying ALL men are like this. Just that the ones I met (in Austin at the time) seemed like maybe they had eaten too many soy-filled veggie burgers that boosted estrogen levels too high.

Exactly! I am very careful about what I use and consume. So when I am invited to parties or BBQs I simply bring what I need so I can enjoy the social event without whining or being a burden. It is my choice not to eat wheat or conventional meat/dairy. I don't expect anyone to bend over backwards just because I don't want to eat their food.
In return, I ask only that they respect my choices.
That way we really can "all get along."
As long as they aren't referring to it as "non-birthing parent day" I'm not too bothered. But once they offer more than two choices in the pull down menu for "what is your gender?" I'm done.
Same here. On Saturday I happened to be out shopping and saw a cute pink cap that said "Dog Mom" on it. I was never blessed with kids, but I have three yappers who got me through losing my husband and keep me laughing every day, so that cap kinda made me feel like I had something to celebrate the next day. Silly, but why not?

I do NOT support in any way, any of the disgusting and vulgar displays so common in music performances today. I do not make excuses for these women at all. I do not blame men specifically for any of it. While I 100% agree that men are under attack on many fronts these days, that does not mean that this type of sexual objectification does not happen. It DOES happen. A LOT. It has happened to me numerous times, starting at age 10. It has happened to EVERY SINGLE ONE OF MY FEMALE FRIENDS at least once, and in most cases many times. And even to a couple of my male friends also.
The point is not to blame men, but to acknowledge how society is conditioning us ALL to objectify ourselves and others.
