In Canada I guess they are fine with cops beating up the elderly. (mobile.twitter.com)

My neighbors are from Canada and still have family in Ontario.

Just yesterday she told me her family is miserable because the lockdown policies keep changing from one week to the next. Changes that make no scientific sense but they are enforced with fanatical and inexplicable zeal by fascist cops.

They are also seeing a lot of PSAs talking about mental health.

Hmmm. Gaslighting.

Keep the public unstable and in perpetual fear and panic by changing the rules constantly. Tell them repeatedly that they must be going mental while you drive them insane.

Sounds like a psyop to me.

am in ontario, can confirm its a psy-op.

keep your enemy off balance and all that shit.

they are also painting the whole situation as a "if everyone would just follow orders this would be over!" so that frustrated people snitch on each other. very CCP. if canada survives the decade i would be very surprised.

I used to think ACAB was very retarded. Nowadays I am certain there is no line they will not cross under the guise of just following orders.

Defunding them like the leftist retards propose is not the answer but they need to be demilitarized and made accountable to the citizenry.

A good start on fixing this and other troubles with local, county and state jurisdictions is to end "qualified immunity". When the assholes, the agencies who hire them and the governments who fund the agencies are made personally financially and legally responsible for their actions, shit will change in a hurry.

Militarization is not the problem.

We just need to go back to the militia system. This country was nearly 80 years old before the very concept of Police were introduced.

Frankly, we don't even have to go all that far. You could easily decentralize the police into a heavily volunteer and reserve force that is mandatory by residency. You'd effectively still be re-introducing the militia system, but in a much more centralized form.

Frankly, however, the biggest point to note is: why are the cops there anyway?

Police, by their nature, are going to be using force on people and getting their hands dirty, and knuckles bloody. It's why they exist. Why did you need to send the police at all? Answer: because you destroyed all forms of social enforcement and self-policing in your own communities and mandated the state handle all disputes.

Remove the jurisdiction of the police, and they won't be punching people in the face that you don't want.

Beyond that: I don't even have a problem with militarization. Militarization is more honest about what the government effectively looks like. If the cops can't solve the problem with a bayonet, and up-armored vehicle, a fully automatic carbine, some flash-bangs, and a sting-ball grenade... then why did you call them? Let them be fully militarized, and then let the public realize that the police are not here to sort out your stupid bullshit neighborly disputes.

Unpopular Opinion: De-funding cops is good.It would force people to start caring about them selves, their neighborhoods and families by making them defend them selves.

That's the thing. We in red rural areas respect the police as they respect us, and for the most part, almost never have to get super serious in their jobs, because our areas are usually free of crime to a degree. Simultaneously, our areas are far more armed, to a point that if truly needed, we could defend ourselves without police, or even against police. This mutual understanding is key to a polite society.

The only situation where I saw that this didn't happen was in a crazy mass-shooting/homicide event in rural Ohio.

Some dude went on a rampage, going from place to place and killing people, I think it was a family dispute or something. They had to call all the local, county, and a fuck-ton of state police to go hunting for the guy.

Honestly? Start getting to know your neighbors. Doesn’t take more than 2 minutes to drop subtle hints about what “side” they are on.

Start going to the range together, etc. people who are into guns are in it for the protection and you quickly learn who will have your back.

The problem is a young man filming it and saying "there is nothing I can do". This is a situation where a man of concious stops the police. If good men would stand up, what could the Canadian gestapo masquerading as police do? They would certainly be out numbered.

Our elected people are corrupt or just plain stupid. It is just votes for them now. Too many brainwashed people out there willing to go along. It will only change when the collateral damage effects them. Never ever vote for a party or person that supports this scam. Challenge them at every opportunity.

Comment Reported for: Rule 12: Falsehoods

Yeah, post is pretty suspicious. Considering you don't have any other comments, it seems like you just came here to spread defamatory statements.

This offers a bit more context.

It doesn't justify the level of force used.

What context do you need when an old man is on his back getting punched in the face? Whatever led up to that point doesn't give the cop the right to punch him in the face.
