What should, would if they weren’t so dumb and echo chambered, scare them is the fact that people aren’t even mad anymore

It’s interesting to see the shift in real time though. The show that they’re undoing was a real early sort of canary in the coal mine in terms of how depraved Hollywood was getting with the whole hating their fans thing. It literally started with this ethnic girl boss and some sort of event that triggered a magic explosion that destroyed all of star fleet across the universe. Like they literally blew up Star Trek to establish the lore of this show

There’s a limit though. If your funko pop collecting and like kpop idol obsession is so bad it’s scaring away women then you’ve gotta do some reflecting.

I don't understand why these guys aren't under contract to shit something out every five years or so.

Because they’re sell outs. They’re not creators at this point, just the partial owners of a brand/IP. We won’t get winds of winter until selling copies of a book has a higher ROI than hbo schlock, and we won’t get anything else out of Rothfuss until that Lin Manuel Miranda deal fall s apart

This is one of those things where I can’t necessarily blame an elderly woman for having such a stupid take when I’m sure she has an army of MDs in her ear assuring her that this is literally the case. Term limits are a must in all things

It’s 100% insecurity imo. I don’t think that millennials are uniquely too self conscious to tell an earnest story though so much as pop culture has dumbed down to the extent that easier-to-produce ironic schlock is just served up more and more frequently

There are anomalies where like I know Florida is really good on protections in certain specific industries, but there’s no way he helps with anything like this. Remember when they went after net neutrality and people were literally giddy over the ftc guys like liberal tears mug?

It’s actually really scary how consistently and effectively modern unionization movements are being derailed by insane things like this.

Pretty much every business student has written a paper where there was only going to be a temporary sweet spot where AI was actually helpful before it was fully captured by corporations and AI seo. It’s crazy to think that’s already being proven as overly idealistic

Sometimes he sticks to his bits to the detriment of the like perception of his sanity, but he’s got a great show going

Even more criminal than the obvious girlbossing was that it was boring. The like Castlevania (s1) esque gory action is soulless in the sense that it’s just checking a box. The 100 men killed is just the robot like walking around with a chain gun. It’s obviously on brand for the originals but they made zero effort in doing something fun and interesting with the action scenes… at least in the 2 episodes I made it through before dropping it. Way too much effort in making a cartoon about the terminator into a tense drama to the detriment of everything else

Now mod out forcing you to listen to her talk for 20 minutes straight… oh and kratos riding bitch on the horse

Fucking hilarious this is something that’s been made. Yeah, i totally want to see a PG13 anime about a story that’s already been told.

We definitely shouldn’t rely on China the way we have, but you have to keep in mind that 60% of that orange, like combined, has a lower gdp than California.

The corporatization of historically, for lack of a better word, “military” roles is something that should be studied at some point. She was probably certain the whole event would be a small blemish on one annual performance review given that her only real responsibility was probably just rubber stamping the decision to outsource their tactical planning to some outside contractor.

I had this exact thought like a year ago when i started Campfire Cooking in another world. I pivoted away from it since I was tired of all the same fantasy isekai, but eventually I got around to it and it was pretty fucking good. Demon Slayer is still good, Wind Breaker was sick, and kaiju no.8 wasn’t bad but it definitely wasn’t animated great either. Damn, just remembered Frieren too. Fuuuuuck, hate to say that Dungeon Meshi hasn’t been bad either. I dunno, dude.

AAA is dead, guys. It’s just a bunch of gamer-girls and cornballs that don’t know what a good game is, or it’s someone intelligent that knows they’re making a bad game but they don’t care because they’re really just there to get experience for one of those 300K/year faang jobs. The only passion left is coming from investors and the actual retards that think people want to see their fat, blue-haired character models.

Being excited about your chosen political candidate at the event meant to honor him is terrifyingly cult like behavior
