“Female” can mean a lot of things. It can mean “anyone who identifies as a woman.” It can also mean “someone born with a specific set of genitals.”

Actually it's extremely clear. So clear that even the author got the message against his will. It's almost as if the subversion of 'woman' has been noted and another term selected specifically. Especially sine a large part of the subversion of 'woman' wss 'sex and gender are totally different'. Why would this gentleman associate 'female' and 'woman' unless he knows something is wrong with his use?
You bring up an interesting point about the whole tranny debate. One of the many reasons the Tranny movement has been pushed on society is to make us believe that 2+2=5. If they can make us believe/say “men can be women” then it’s game over and they can make us do anything. Stand strong.
