I'd chock it up to the usual dumbassery that could be expected from the average war-time propaganda. Rushed propaganda that's at least partially fueled via guilt by association.

We saw a lot of the same shit play out on repeat with leftists targeting anyone and anything connected with Russia. Except when the Soviet Union comes up of course. Then Communists have to do a will check saving throw for confusion.

I dunno, much as I am loath to give any positive feedback on TYT, back during the Hillary-Trump election there were a few reporters (Bernie supporters) who were just tearing into Hillary with their questions and investigations.

Which doesn't exactly clarify what their general political or ideological angle is, other than for that it adds to a history of at the very least being very much against the establishment left (which is still very much calling the shots today).

Also reminds me of how, if we didn't have such conflicting views on what solutions to pursue, both political extremes could conceivably overpower, knock out, and oust out a lot of corruption in the current establishment of both mainstream parties. In a more ideal world anyway. Which of course leads us back to the post-Occupy Wallstreet response theory.

There might be some based minorities in older age brackets, but it's almost bound to be a losing battle with minorities who've been perfectly spoiled and content with this warped setup, growing up with these freebies and handouts for the past 10+ years.

Is it just me or is something visually a little off? Almost all of the video footage is clear as can be but his entire head is strangely fuzzy?

Wait a second. I saw a smart phone instead of a PDA? That is not very cheeki breeki.

On top of this is of course how almost every functional component of the industry is utterly compromised. Particularly reviewers, who at least in ages past occasionally got a few things right. But now it's purely ideological nepotism, along with corporate DEI investors and DEI funded consultant firms.

And all of this, combined with what was inevitably going eventually become an easily over-saturated global market, with an over abundance of "too much shit" shit for anyone to ever have the time to sift through. And then there's the mess that a lot of web-based content/publishing opportunities offer, which rarely yields profits or sales worth mentioning. It sucks especially if you just want your work to be appreciated, regardless of how little money it makes.

And even further on top of that is the ever decreasing interest in written literature, the advent of AI, etc.

It also as to be the absolute lowest form of a minimal-effort attempt at trying to show off and/or attract male mates. Almost no physical exertion required, no coordination, style, substance, talent, or personality involved. Completely devoid of any intelligence or taste.

An absolutely retarded trend that wouldn't have lasted even a week in previous decades.

It's likely due to the DEI-stock market angle that so readily spread the infestation in less than a decade. Corruption can wreak havoc so much faster and harder when someone waves "free" money in front of corporations who might be experiencing financial setbacks, and when said corporations are infested with investors who are actively buying into said trend.

Then expand those same incentives into government, and media, and you have yourself a full on cultural and economic takeover of multiple countries.

Ah, right. I knew it might be at least RPG adjacent somehow. Even as a pseudo game developer myself, seeing his Rumble channel for the first time, it looks a little sad.

They also colluded with the Muslim invaders into Byzantine/East Roman territory. After trying to collude with the Sasanians (who'd just finally gotten their asses kicked by the Romans).

Granted, the Byzantines were also retarded for letting any of them stay in Constantinople for so many centuries, given the antics they were regularly involved in.

I think he gave enough clues that you could ultimately piece it together from multiple comments. Without access to his comment history it's a bit tough to remember accurately, especially given how often he'd post shower thoughts about a wide range of different kinds of games.

Although I do distinctly remember him posting multiple threads, talking about inventory UI and itemization stuff, so probably an RPG of some sort.

He had odd and goofy takes, not necessarily "bad" takes. And almost any discussion he was involved with managed to "somehow" circle around to trying to stroke his own ego.

Not a bad fellow overall though. Just a bit of a derp at times.

Aye, I noticed about 2-3 weeks ago as well when I was curious why he wasn't chiming in on the GoDot stuff.

I just assumed he deleted it to cover his tracks because he was paranoid about the UK government or something like that.

What kind of a news reporter are you, correcting your inaccuracies and trying to make up for your mistake! Time take you back for reprogramming!

One sniff and they're like "Okay, whatever this is, it's boring and I don't get it."

I've been wondering the same thing somewhat. Thinking back, being actively involved in a close-knit hobby or gaming community used to qualify.

Sadly not always devoid of the occasional political/regressive bullshit (obviously), but at least it can be something that isn't exactly centered around political topics.

Some of the concept has some appeal, in some of the same ways that the original Planet of the Apes films did. Also some Teen Wolf vibes.

But eh, this film's approach looks a bit lame for some reason. Soulless, a bit too cookie-cutter, trying too hard, something along those lines.

Another thing too is that given how fake and gay the products at some online retailers like Amazon can be, it's a safer bet to go through a reputable retail store for certain kinds of items.

And like you said, a lot of these retail stores have already been adopting various order/delivery methods, which covers some of the extra convenience customers might want.

3
Ender910 3 points ago +3 / -0

Quite a lot I imagine, given just how much more business retail gets at Xmas. Like it is legitimately insane how much product you'll sell on a single day in December, compared to even the busiest day in any other month.

Eh, I'll admit that many zoomers have something of an ADHD-likeness to how they approach a lot of things, and their sense of humor (and taste) sometimes eludes me. But I think some are managing quite well in spite of the hyperactive age of media and technology that they've had to grow up in.

14
Ender910 14 points ago +14 / -0

It really is revealing just how clueless Hollywood is about their expected zoomer audience, since I'm certain that's who they keep assuming is their "new" audience.

From what I've been able to tell, zoomers are generally not eating up most of their slop, since they're quite aware that there's already 30-40 years worth of perfectly good media they can enjoy, that's of better quality and still reasonably fresh and new to them.

Curiously, the only ones who seem to be regularly eating up their slop are a certain subset of braindead millennials who desperately cling to "the newest thing" like a bunch of drug addicts waiting for their next fix.

Bosmer are probably one of the only types of Mer that aren't preoccupied with fucking with other races, generally.

They do sometimes have a tendency of going along with the "high elf" program though, to some varying degree.

And some toxic chemicals build up in the system over time, while the body's unable to clean it out fast enough.

I suppose a decent example of what you mean is a basic level of bureaucratic requirements and paperwork, maybe some regular inspections as need-be, responses to consumer concerns and whistleblowers, and then of course punitive courses of action for those that are discovered for not only failing to comply with regulations but also managing to cause active harm.

The FDA, at least as it pertains to the food industry, is a reasonably decent example to what's sort of ideal, like Heretic indicated. Although the FDA has been massively dropping the ball on things like baby food and baby formula in recent years, by not actively pursuing reports and instead responding to concern with pure skepticism...
