I'd argue that Gundam has been on a incredible roll lately with Gundam Unicorn, Gundam Thunderbolt, and Hathaway. A lot of fans really liked Iron Blooded Orphans (wasn't my jam, had ups and downs).

Haman Karn??!!?? That's a stretch if that's who they think she is. If it is then honestly this alternative setting just has no meaning then. They could just make up any character and say it's a call out to UC continuity.

Haman Karn was a dutchess, born from nobility, became a very ambitious military leader and overall an evil bitch. She's one of my favorite Gundam characters because she owned being so vile. Great villainess.

Edit: okay I had to fact check myself, she was not born of nobility but it still doesn't change how I feel.

Hey! Spikes are fucken stylish, even the original Zaku has that awesome spike pauldron, lol.

But sure that's fair to each their own what they like design wise. Another issue I got with the show is that the requirements to make a Gundam is vague enough as is, but every time I see the Gundam I just think "that's not a Gundam". This is coming from the Turn A fan.

Another thing that kind of annoys me too is Hideaki Anno is one the writers for it. Anno might be iconic in the anime sphere but Evangalion is a narrative mess. I think his ego will get in the way of the show just like how he has done some outrageous things when he was creating Evangalion. I think Anno will be one of those writers that thinks subverting expeditions is artwork.

Maybe I'm full of crap and he'll do a great job. Won't know until I see it.

So I am less optimistic about this Gundam show the more I see it. I hope I'm wrong, I want to see the first episode movie, hopefully in theaters.

I'll start with the good. So far the production quality looks great, the scenery of space colonies are breath taking. To me, the second coolest thing about the Gundam franchise is the space colonies, it's such a cool science fiction topic and the Gundam universe is about characters coming from numerous space colonies, not just one or two. I absolutely love seeing the detail the trailer gives about the colony and I want to see more. Of course the coolest thing about the Gundam franchise is the mechs but ....

...now onto the bad. To each their own on what they like to see in mech designs, some like walking tanks like MechWarrior and some like more power suits like Armored Core and Gundam, I personally love them all. These mech designs in Gundam GQuux don't look very good once you see them in their full size and still pictures. The lead Gundam itself looks more like a Evangalion unit, and the Zakus (the soldier grunt mechs) look like fat sumos. This is one of the few Gundam shows that's a collab with Sunrise, who are the current holders of doing Gundam animations (and they do a great job) and the Studio Karah, who have done the Neon Genesis Evangalion movies. I'll be honest, I think the studio Karah are trying to hijack the show with these awful designs just to do damage to a competitive studio. There is a joke that the Gundam of the show looks like it's the original Gundam but it sucked on a sour lemon. Another annoying trend is that this is the third Gundam show in a row to have the main character be female. She doesn't look like "girl boss" but this is getting weird. What's also bizarre is that the show is an alternative history of the original continuity of Gundam. It plays on the bad guy faction of the original Gundam winning the war. What's odd is that Gundam is already a franchise filled with alternative continuities so now they're doing an alternative of the original? Makes a person's head spin.

I hope this is a good Gundam show but I hope that this doesn't set a new standard. At least I have the second Hathaway movie later this year for a good mech military thriller.

Is anyone else noticing people are doing double posts? Is it just me or is something screwy happening?

I hate that the only thing talked about here when it comes to Guilty Gear is topics about Bridget, a friggen tertiary character to a fighting game line up.

I'm starting to think that these trigger warnings are more for the teacher than the student.

I'm about 25% of the way through the story so I don't know the full details. Is it possible that artifacts lost their charge since the Wish Granter disappeared and that's why they loose their energy outside the zone?

I'm with you there. Bruce Wayne is Batman (not the other way around) and Batman makes the setting.

Sometimes I like stories about the side characters, Tim Drake has had some good ones.

Eh I can't agree with this. A year of horrible games is a horrible year for gaming. Play as a outlaw in the Star Wars universe should of been exciting and cool. Playing as a league of bad guys in the DC universe should of been a wild ride. People should look forward to a Bioware game, and not dread at what they'll do next to butcher their franchise.

Except for Concord, hero shooters are gay.

I don't even like TGA but was Stellar Blade's gameplay even any good? All I hear about the game is having a sexy protagonist

I don't want to bash but I'm starting to think Dragon Age 4 might been more catered and aimed for console players.

I'm always hungry for some good space based science fiction. Any suggestions? No Gundam stuff please, I already know what exists :)

Maybe I'm misunderstanding what a V-tuber is but thanks for answering the rest. :)

Isn't Asmond basically just a regular V-tuber who isn't all that involved in left vs right? However he's just now noticing all the lefty issues injected in games?

Never could finish DA 3 because the NPC controls in the "tactical mode" was awful on PC. Your allies didn't respond to the commands you would give them, and if you had to tell them to resurrect an ally, you had to hold down the E key to do it...in tactical mode...aka...the RTS classic view. The tactical view option was only there to bait PC gamers to play.

Also the multiplayer was micro transaction bait.

I'm personally annoyed at the Space Force because my application to change branches was denied and SF is now going to be the primary branch to handle Cyber issues instead of the USAF. I'm just making small complaints but it does make me anxious at what'll happen to my field further down the road in a few years.

I honestly think everyone acted appropriately for their roles. It was just the female infantry girl that bugged me because of her uniform/combat gear. The what further annoyed me was seeing other female infantry in the correct uniform a scene later, so why does one character get special treatment, lol.

Sorry my bad. I wasn't thinking about that.
