There's another quote, I can't remember who said it. It basically boils down to "The person who wants to prevent people from escaping is, by nature, a jailer."

I have claimed that Escape is one of the main functions of fairy-stories, and since I do not disapprove of them, it is plain that I do not accept the tone of scorn or pity with which 'Escape' is now so often used. Why should a man be scorned if, finding himself in prison, he tries to get out and go home? Or if he cannot do so, he thinks and talks about other topics than jailers and prison-walls?

You misunderstand. He's saying that Lightsabers are the only thing Disney thinks is iconic.

The fact that we use only one word to describe multiple, complex concepts has ruined it. Philia, Agape, Eros, we all know what the terms described mean, but then everything gets lumped into one, basic "Love is love" which muddies the waters beyond recognition.

At this point, anything describing a fact that someone doesn't like is a slur. Truth is a slur.

All I have to do is look at my car windows with dead motors to know that not having a manual/analog option is a bad idea.

These people live and breathe fiction. It's part of why they're so disconnected from reality. I love to visit the land of make-believe. Maybe even set up a timeshare there. But you simply cannot live there full time or else you get... the current year....

I literally just saw a meme today poking fun at the chain of assassins to kill Padme in Episode 2, but honestly, Palpatine REALLY wouldn't want anyone capable of following the chain all the way back to him.

He played the dad in the Stuart Little movies, and I didn't realize it was the same guy until years later. He's a talented actor, so I could buy the story. The whole point of acting is deceit, after all....

E;R's genuine distress over her situation was simultaneously heartbreaking and hilarious.

I can't imagine playing MMBN with a touchscreen D-pad. The inputs would be murder!

Yoshi Touch-and-Go is a good, arcady title. You don't control Yoshi, but instead draw lines for him to walk on and avoid danger. If you enjoy that, Kirby Canvas Curse is a full platform game that controls very similarly, albeit, not an auto-scroller.

Also, I may be misremembering, but I think the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games have full touchscreen controls. I don't remember for sure, though. I generally prefer a nice, tactile controller.

The Christmas Special is at least full of imaginative aliens and world building, even if it's executed in a goofy way.
