"Mr. Frog, why are you so evil? You have one second to respond."

It's such lazy censorship too. They kept most of the shading the same as before they drew the undies, so they look painted on. It doesn't really make her less sexy. It just detracts from the overall design.

I need to look into that Riven remake. I've heard they changed some things, hopefully nothing... Unfortunate.

Rocket Knight Adventures, the original, is a 10/10 masterpiece. The sequels range from okay to terrible, but the original is everything video games should strive to be. Tight, efficient, low skill floor, high skill ceiling, gameplay focused, beautiful music and graphics. An unobtrusive story that adds flavor to the action.

I went ahead and bought the collectors edition and the plushie, because I know this will probably be my only chance ever to score some Sparkster merch.

I don't want modern remasters. They took the editing pen to TTYD for more than just adding trans rights, and the dummied down dialog kills me to read....

That being said, I'd love to see Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure 2 get a fresh coat of paint and have their engines polished up to... I'd say modern standards, but really, now.

That, and I'd love to see Crash Twinsanity get a remaster with all the lost content that was cut for time.

It really does boil down to "Power either corrupts or attracts the corrupt."

The US only lasted as long as it has because it recognized that fact and took steps to restrict the power, either by splitting it up, or by limiting how long individuals had access to it. Of course, scumbags figured out the meta and cheat the system by installing literal puppets or otherwise outright ignoring the rules.

The sheer, fucking, hubris of these parasites never ceases to enrage me.

You've clambered onto the shoulders of giants, just to start stomping on them to belittle them in hopes of making yourself seem bigger. What do you think is going to happen next? You're going to fucking levitate!?

A. No. Haven't you seen Dustborn?

B. They already have oodles of games that kowtow to them. It's the Gay Wedding Cake principle. It's not enough to have a cake, they have to flex their power over people who just want to live their lives.

I agree on that point. I'm just getting annoyed/nervous seeing people seeming to actually be on board with Islam.

We're not in the Mega Man Classic timeline. We're in the MegaMan Battle Network timeline. Artificial Intelligence and PETs and Pulse Transmission Systems before anything close to a robot....

Why is anyone giving Disney the time of day? They hate you, they hate their classics, they have no interest in telling good stories. Do not watch them.

My inner child thinks this is the coolest thing ever. My outer adult thinks this is terrifying.

I liked Bentley in Sly 3 because his tricked out rocket wheelchair fit his technical role on the team. l don't question the logistics of him getting around, much less platforming and fighting, because it's aesthetically a cartoon.

I look at this, and I find myself wondering how this person isn't more of a hindrance than a help in any combat situations. Can't wheel a chair and shoot at the same time, after all.

One of the best fantasy gun control metaphors I've ever seen was in Pokemon Black and White.

Team Plasma goes around spreading a wholesome message of Pokemon freedom, insisting that everyone release their Pokemon so they'll no longer be abused or mistreated by foolish humans. Their figurehead, N, fully believes this message and actively practices what he preaches. However, the whole thing is a scam by the shadow leaders of the team. Once everyone else has released their pet super monsters, they plan to move in with their own and take over everything unopposed.

The final message of the game boils down to: "The truth is that there will always be power abusers, so it's best that good people also have power so that they can fight for ideals."

I miss when Pokemon was good....

It's genuinely depressing. No wonder they're so slimy. When you've so intrinsically tied your existence to a lie, why wouldn't you say whatever to get what you want? The only thing that matters is that you get what you want, after all....

Wreck-It-Ralph exists, so Tangled wasn't the very last good one. But it's almost certainly the last good Princess movie.

It's individualism taken to it's unhealthy logical extreme. It's not really a lie, but it's not the whole truth either, which is what makes it such an insidious mindset. You ARE unique and special in your own way, but everyone else is too, so don't go thinking that you're above others because of it.

Really, the modern left seems to be taking the absolute worst aspects of both individualism and collectivism and mashing them together into an unholy, contradictory mess of an ideology.

I think Tangled deserves more credit than it gets. Flynn being willing to die to save Rapunzel is peak heroism. Her saving him in return doesn't lessen that sacrifice, it just resonates the "Love is saving each other" concept that's sorely lacking in our modern, anti-trust world.

It's incredible, looking at the trend of Disney Princesses over time. Even up to the early 2010s, with Tangled and Frozen and the like, they were still cordial and friendly to their male co-stars. It's like a switch was flipped in the last decade to turn everyone as nasty as possible in film.
